I've been considering the advise you've all given me and am formulating a strategy that I will be outlining here at some point on Saturday and sending in detail to 'pledged' CMDR's!

Here's one landed at Crown after selling some exploration data.
And one outside Garrett Station.
Don't do that - what you want to do is either fail the missions (eg by letting them run out of time) or take the deal from one of the NPCs that ask you to follow their wake. Dropping them will lower your reputation with the faction and have little to no effect on their influence.
Good luck with the op! I'd lend a hand, but right now I'm busy helping a Fed faction in a system with a name that ends in 'e'

Keep an eye on pending states, because CPoF has passed all the others but they didn't clear by 4%, you will probably need to fight one of them and clear that by raising influence by 5% or 15% depending on if it's a war or civil war. You will be pushing up anyway so no problem.

Bran's plan of action...
After reviewing the information people have kindly supplied I have come up with the following plan which will either lead to glorious victory or absolute failure!
I was going to lay out a huge strategy but after thinking it over I decided that disorganized chaos is far more entertaining!
Thanks to everyone who's taken the time to read the thread and/or respond especially those who joined in for both sides. Back to battle I go!

After reviewing the information people have kindly supplied I have come up with the following plan which will either lead to glorious victory or absolute failure!
- Free Frey have aligned themselves with the Federation, I am now working in conjunction with the Constitution Part of Frey (CPoF)
- As the Free Frey do not have a port that can be used please use Crown Port run by the CPoF for handing in all bounties
- Try to ensure you cash in each mission, bounty or bit of data one piece at a time, always at Crown Port
- Ignore any Biowaste canisters you see near Crown Port... they are from an earlier disagreement I had with the station manager, nothing to worry about
- Use any and all the tactics you can find in the forums
- Have fun <-- That's the most important part!

Pulled into Crown Port last thing yesterday after an exploration trip...

Not a problem dxm, it's not everyone's cup of tea. It's also a bit more than just cargo runs but hey ho.

There are several things you can do. I'm gathering some exploration data to sell one bit at a time in Crown Port. You can also shoot the system ship by Garret. You could also take missions for C&S and let them run out or take and complete missions for other factions at Crown, just don't be doing any from the station.
The most important part by far though is to have fun!

Do what ever you enjoy doing! It's one of the features I enjoy so much about this game, just having fun, doing your own thing has an effect. I'll be, hopefully, heading back tot he bubble tonight to sell up 400+ EXP reports which should have an effect - not sure how much but it will be interesting to see.
