I have 9 active ships that I regularly switch between, just can't answer with full commitment. From an Eagle explorer/planetary fun ship to my largest a C rated mining/combat Anaconda work in progress.

Edit all ships "should be listed on my profile in sig?" On mobile so I don't know if it works

512 million between em and I love em all, it's the great thing having fun in all manner of craft. I still have a few to buy on my list.

The thing about the Cobra is that it doesn't matter how many pips you have in sys, if you boost and pull the stick back hard and then you hit an asteroid the next screen you see will be the insurance screen. I mean they are just made of tinfoil and no self respecting, space faring buccaneer would be seen dead in a pile of tin foil.

Not true. Some of my Cobras have 1500+ hull... They can take quite a few impacts ;)

Actually you might be right because I last stepped out of a Cobra before HRPs were a thing.

Fair enough in my opinion. I guess you are not meant to survive a collision against an asteroid at boost speed.


As for the topic, my ship is the Cutter and it is the best because it is very hard to kill. She has so much shield and SCBs that you rather get bored before having my shields down.

my ship is my avatar icon. It is the first ship I made hundreds of millions of credits in. It's the first ship I killed another player in. It's still my favorite ship in the game. I love the engine sounds, the cockpit, the hardpoint layouts and internals...it's all perfect.

It's a ship that has put down player pirates and any powerplay-ers brave enough to fair open play. A glorious gold beacon of light in a galaxy filled with scum.

Well, the whole point is to use the maneuverability of the Cobra to NOT hit the Asteroid...
But then again, this Thread is about the Ship and not the pilot, so you get this point...

As for my best ship...Well I started off with a Sidey (as most of us did) and then bought the glorious Cobra MKIII as soon as I got the Credits. Loved that ship and did not have any plans to change my ship, until I first met an Fer-De-Lance.
So FDL it is for me. Sure I still have the Cobra in my possession and fly it around, but it will never outmatch the FDL.
Going on to fights with STYLE.(though with crappy jump range...) Zorgon Peterson really knew what he created here.
Comes already with a great paintjop as it is! And have you used the Toilet in that thing?! Magnificent! (Once you go FDL, you never go back)

And before you use that statement against my ship by calling it a "glorious space toilet", I will use it so that you have to think of something else:cool:.
And have you used the integrated Coffee Machine? That's the real deal... (Luxury and Combat in one package!)

Even the F*S have those. A coffee machine on one side and a tea dispenser on the other.
Of course, the Cobra Mk III has a professional espresso machine in the galley, pre-loaded with Orrere Viscious Brew. The ONLY coffee that can keep up with a Cobra.

You mean the Imperial Courier? Yeah that's a nice ship right enough :p

Especially when 2.1 lands and we can fit the new faster class three drives.
