I guess it always boils down to Emergent Content. The last bastion of the defeated. "At least we gave you something to do.". Defeated on all fronts it seems.
And the tune changes. Activities are just a fun as you make them. Anyway, I'm impressed with how it all happened, and now it's over. I guess the DF's can use your help in the Power Challenge.
Administrators??? Losing control of the systems has nothing to do with administration. I always thought that keeping control of a system involves political war, economic war, enforcement (i.e. bounty hunting), and oppression of rebellious factions. And from what I understood, The Code didn't actually conquer any system - they were granted a system upon request. Hardly what I'd call a "conquest".
Another group that wants everyone to know: They don;t care about their influence on systems, all three of them.
Aye, we tried our best to keep piracy fun and engaging, but it was not possible. Abandoning piracy just came naturally and was not something we decided to do. We found that engaging in wing combat to be more fun for our members. TBH I don't any of us will be participating in PP or the PP Challenge. You'll most likely find our members at CG's engaged in combat.
Not sure what you mean by the tune changes, but Piracy truly is a dead profession as the game stands now. It's on par of trying to hold an explorer group together when every single system has been scanned and explored fully. As far as emergent content goes, well you gotta be honest and say that we did indeed provide that as well as consume hours of game time from other CMDRs to expel us. Not trying to sugar coat anything here, but at the end of the day you all know who The Code are and hate us enough to mobilize multiple groups just to delete our name from a system.
Well, you always have that going for you.....
I guess any attention is better than none. Aggression may be a bit off the mark, but make of what you will.
...We actually had to run a lot of missions in order to take Orerre as well as expand. We managed to do so in conjunction with other groups grinding against us. It was a lot of PvE grinding for a group that mostly enjoyed PvP. That being said, we are very surprised it took this long as we haven't run missions or done anything in those systems for the last 5 months.
Breaking News: The Forum is still full of friendly cuddly bear-shaped things.
My prediction is that the forums will get fuller of this type of person..because the PvP crowd is learning that PvP is fun..but has no reward other than pushing narratives/stories. It's sad because PvP could be so much more...other than an expensive hobby that takes to much time to recover from and has no real impact on the galaxy.
I heard they all merged back into the same amorphous blob and it's looking for another game to not be liked in. Farewell TC, looks like the game didn't want you after all.
It was fun playing the villain and even more fun to read about the horror stories about The Code. If only most of the CMDRs knew that the Boogie Man was actually a Teddy Bear. It's a dirty job, but someone has to play the antagonist in order for the protagonists to exist. We are more than happy to give groups of CMDRs something to band together against.
Some of us are still around and sorry to say we are more heartless and have less mercy than we used to. Some of us have abandoned The Code that we pledged our lives to. In lamens terms members still exist, but are more brutal and less forgiving than they used to be. If you hated us before, then you will not be pleased with the attitude of members not bound by The Code anymore.
