oh and the stars deserved this a thousand fold.

To anybody it may concern. Be prepared for crap like that if you go exploring.

has anyone else encountered that?

And THAT is why I said to pay attention. I've had it happen to me twice (so far) during this SagA* trip. Scares the crap outta me every time.

On this note, I wonder if it's possible to smack into a planet on drop-in. I dropped into a system where a planet was only 4ls away from the drop-in star. That would make it really possible for that to happen.

I've personally seen triplets that toasted me on my trip to Sag A I've heard of quads and seen a pic on an old Frontier post where some Cmdr found a massive B-O binary system that was pratically hugging eachother.

Is that an orbit line connecting them?

Thats a typical binary star pair, they can get quite ludicrous. When they're that close the line can appear allmost flat.

So can i see that on the galaxy map? Or do i just have to take the risk?. ( Makes it more exiting imo).

Also how exactly does the repair kit work and when should i use it?
I took damage to almost all modules but not too bad. Nothing below 95%.

Not really since most systems are unexplored. You won't see the nitty gritty untill you've advanced discovery scanned. Also AMFU units...very important, 1st off jump out of Supercruise...trust me when you get to your engines otherwise you'll throw youself out like an emergency drop and redamage your internals. So go to your module lets say your engines and its at 97% for example, if you have an AMFU you'll have an option to repair it, remeber it will shutdown the unit so you'll need to turn it back on afterwards.

So if the AMFU has, let's say 1000 ammo and i repair my thrusters that are down to 90%, i will have 990 ammo left?

I don't know the exact math but it drains until the repair is complete, its a slow draw, i had a mid sized AMFU that lasted me the entire trip and still had loads of leftover ammo. I think I had 4 repair sessions as well from being roasted 2x and 2x being careless lol.

I've had this happen more times than I can count. Its not good enough to throttle to zero before you jump you need to pay attention to the moment you drop. If you see more the one ball of fiery light when the system is loading then you better be ready for evasive maneuvers.

Well yeah i know but the one star was behind me. As you kan see in the video, as i dropped in i flew through the first star. If you pause at the right moment you can see it. It happened so fast that i thought it was a graphic glitch...

Boy was i wrong.
