- Double amount of micro resource inventory capacity from 300 to 600 on physical and 100 to 200 on data

That's great but it's still not enough. With the sheer number of micro ressources and materials you added and the large variety we need for different recipes, we will still run out of space way too quickly. I suggest dedicated inventory space for every ressource, maybe in the ballpark of 20-30 for each ressource. That way you don't force players to throw out materials they grinded for, while not making it an bottomless chest.

Thanks Zac. No mention of the out-of-sync animation of the class 4 multi-cannon, can someone please check whether this is a bug or intended?
 
Cool, any word on reducing the grind for the Engineer modifications? More options, missions to get materials would be nice.

Hyperspace

- Hyperspace is now much bigger to accommodate large ships
- Passing lens flares now fade in rather than 'pop'
- Added more distant stars to create a sense of depth
- Reduced the frequency of nebula models
- Added an extra light

Great I wonder what the updated Hyperspace looks like.

Cool, any word on reducing the grind for the Engineer modifications? More options, missions to get materials would be nice.

They have already said many times that materials will be rewards for some missions, I imagine that they just weren't in the first phase of the Beta. I certainly think it's a good thing that the Mayhem section is getting a longer run than most of us thought it would, as it's gonna need a lot of hammering :)

Hey, I am just happy I wont have to discard all my existing resources now. Good call.

And talking about FD humour, am I the only one who likes this:

Excellent. So many times I've been in Hyperspace and thought..."I could really do with an extra light in here".
 
Hats only for female engineers? C'mon, Frontier: Elite 2 was renowned for bringing the finest millinery in SF to all genders and species. Hats for all! Perhaps Sad Todd would like to protect his pate from painful scratches when rooting around in your Sidey's cramped weapons bays.
 
Some nice changes. But what about the difficulty of picking up canisters with your cargo scoop. There have been a number of reports (including mine) saying that something has changed negatively with cargo scooping. Primarily this seems to affect large ships. I heard people mention FDL, Imperial cutter and Python so far. I own a FDL and cargo scooping is much more painful now. It is as if the cargo scoop hitbox for collection has been severely decreased. It is possible that there is an under reporting of this issue as some people are using collection limpets now, although ships like the FDL have very little internal compartment space for limpet use.
 
I can still login into Engineers however it says i need a new client. There is no upgrade button yet. Where is the new client installer?
