Title: Blitzkrieg Theory
Location: Galnet / Wolf 1230 + HR 6421
Time: anytime

Description:

Starting from the experience among Children of Raxxla as security forces of some DVSEO operatives, involved in the preparation of long range armed ships for Rift patrolling, DaVinci Corp. develops and shares with their Gal.Cop. allied new ship specifics for rapid and efficient interventions in distant, low intensity war theaters.

Thanks to an innovative point of view, well know exploration ships has been modified to became unsuspected unconventional warships. Infact they are characterized by hybrid shield / silent running use and heavy specific damage weapons. Since some of them are equipped also with topedos, they best use is as stealth support ships for conventional wings, being able to sudden critical hits.

For the high jump range and for the efficient, DaVinci technicians, taking from an ancient military strategy, called these prototype " Blitkzkrieg Models "

I want to write a local news story for all systems in a particular pp control sphere, in the hopes of getting the attention of some players that we may not be able to see or contact due to instancing and or platform or solo or private group play.

Is this something that we could do with local news to help us reach out to them?

Hi Ian,

I see my submission from Sunday about the Chapterhouse in Nemgla was not accepted for local publication - I presume the word count was over the top?

Please would you allow me to resubmit a revised version?

The story marks our player minor faction's first ever takeover of an expansion system, and represents over 60 continuous days of in-game effort. It is not our intention to submit a story for every war we are involved in going forwards, however our group considers this a major milestone worthy of mention on the local news, and would appreciate another crack at publication, if that's not a bother?

If you can keep the word count down, feel free to submit a revised version.

Thanks Ian! Here's another shot (I shaved just over 100 words off):

When: ASAP
Where: Nemgla and Kamadhenu

Title: Chapterhouse Restores Order to Nemgla

Description:

Upheaval in Nemgla ended this week as Kamadhenu's Chapterhouse of Inquisition imposed direct rule upon the restive colony.

A struggle to control mineral wealth between rival corporations had triggered months of violence, with local faction Integrated Nemgla forced to request assistance from Kamadhenu. Inquisition operatives were dispatched to mediate peace.

Before a resolution was found corporate forces seized control, deposing Integrated Nemgla as ruling authority. In the chaos that followed the former governors were assassinated by unknown assailants, and a complete breakdown in security followed.

Eyewitnesses reported Chapterhouse loyalists engaging corporate ships near key locations in recent days.

Speaking today from Shajn Market, Kamadhenu, a spokesperson confirmed the takeover of the system:

“Events in Nemgla were spiralling out of control,”

“The fate of Integrated Nemgla's leadership is a tragedy, we grieve with local citizens.” She continued, “We commend the actions of Inquisitors who quickly intervened to protect innocent civilian lives from harm,”

“To maintain order in the sector the Chapterhouse of Inquisition is now committed to governing the people of Nemgla responsibly in the absence of their former leaders.”

Local news submission (Rauta / CD-49 13082)

DATE: ASAP
LOCATION: At least the stations in Rauta and CD-49 13082 (Galnet would be great if story deemed worthy; included the longer version for this possibility)
TITLE: Aftermath
DESCRIPTION:

SHORT VERSION:

Following a two day media blackout which started after the surrender of Rauta Patrons Principles, Varangian Syndicate spokesperson gave the following statement in a press conference earlier today:

“After rapidly gaining influence - through means which will undoubtedly prove nefarious - the faction of Rauta Patrons Principles decided to start a civil war in our beloved home system in order to take control. These imperial oligarchs thought it worth the sacrifice to ravage our system and deplete its resources for the duration of four grueling days. They’ve lost their touch with reality, and with the people to think their way of life would be superior to the freedom of choice that the Varangian Syndicate offers to its followers.”

The representative continued his statement by listing Denton Patreus and even the Empire as the suspected instigators for this unfounded uprising, and assuring the audience that plans on how to expose and deal with the discovered parties are being deliberated on. He then went on to thank the Syndicate’s allies before exiting the podium.

Varangian Syndicate seems to be taking a strong stance for complete independency, in part explaining the delay in releasing any statements. Serious discussions have certainly taken place amongst their higher echelon.

Following a two day media blackout which started after the surrender of Rauta Patrons Principles, Varangian Syndicate CEO and co-founder CMDR Kuumies gave the following statement in a press conference earlier today:

“After rapidly gaining influence - through means which will undoubtedly prove nefarious - the faction of Rauta Patrons Principles decided to start a civil war in our beloved home system in order to take control. These imperial oligarchs thought it worth the sacrifice to ravage our system and deplete its resources for the duration of four grueling days. They’ve lost their touch with reality, and with the people to think their way of life would be superior to the freedom of choice that the Varangian Syndicate offers to its followers.

Whether this war was a brainchild of the local leadership of the Patrons, the oppressor Denton Patreus or even the Emperor herself remains a mystery for now. But mark my words, even though we've decisively annihilated our opposition and took control of the last remaining star port that wasn’t under our jurisdiction before, we will not stop here. We will define who these would-be-ousters are and we will deal with them accordingly. We will wade through as many imperial or federal corpses we’ll have to in order to have a truly free Rauta. We are few and they are many, but even fewer were the people of Freeholm when they thwarted the famously botched imperial attack against their home station which they had only recently wrest from Empire’s control. Our means may not be popular, but by the gods of old they are effective.

Lastly I would like to thank our trusted allies at the Echo of Loki organization for their assistance in dealing with the enemy forces. You have our gratitude; may you fight a thousand battles and fall soaked in your enemies’ blood.”

After thanking the audience the brooding CEO didn’t take any questions as he headed off the podium. Varangian Syndicate seems to be taking a strong stance for complete independency, in part explaining the delay in releasing any statements. Serious discussions have certainly taken place amongst their higher echelon.

Title: Abandoned slaves found in garbage.
Location: BD-01 3500
Time: Any time.

74 abandoned slaves were found in a waste disposal area this morning at Bosch Dock in the BD-01 3500 system. Workers noticed the writing "Don't open. Slaves inside." on an apparently usual container.

"We opened the container and found a female forced into an improvised life support unit in the container. She was icecold, so we immediately called station security and paramedics. Then we searched all of the 3600 containers in the disposal area, we found 73 more of those poor souls. How can human beings be able to commit such a cruelty?", said Zhu Chang, manager of the Waste disposal company.

The incident has caused another debate about human trafficking in Federation controlled space and the rumored slaver hubs outside of populated space. Pilots questioned to those slaver hubs, had mostly the same repellent reaction. The only usable thing a pilot, who wants to remain anonymous was: "Rule 1. You do not talk about flight club and the Corporation."

Several hours after the incident, the head of security on Bosch Dock announced that the investigation would be closed, since the electronic logs during the period in question were mistakenly deleted by an employee of Station Security.

Title: PBSF Celebrations To Be Held In Hutton Orbital
Location: Galnet / Neto, LHS 448, Alpha Centauri
Time: ASAP
Note: This is based on “real world” fund raising, as well as the trip to hutton we did take as a part of our 24 hour live stream.

Cap Anaidni, leader of the PBSF has recently spoken regarding the ongoing celebrations in the PBSF home systems, as well as planned festivities within Hutton Orbital platform in the Alpha Centauri System. As recently as two days ago, PBSF forces are known to have shipped hundreds of tonnes of Liquor, Beer, Indi Bourbon and Performance Enhancers to the far flung station in preparation for the event, which will mark the end of their recent Charity Drive in and around the starter systems.

PBSF aviators have been joined already by many pilots from disparate factions, and PBSF events from Planetary Races to Arena Combat have all played their part. Now that the fundraising is over, the PBSF are inviting CMDRs galaxy wide to join them in celebrating the event, which saw the faction go above and beyond their target goals. Anaidni of course passed on his thanks to all who took part in any of the sponsored events and encourages people to ship legal Party favours to Hutton Orbital for the festivities

Title: Rat rescues Rifter
Location: Galnet / Alternatively: Gliese 1269, Fuelum, HR 6421
Time: Anytime

The Fuel Rats recently responded to a distress call from Commander Lorrad, an explorer investigating the Formidine Rift. Like those who once searched for the ‘Holy Grail’ on ancient Earth, ‘Rifters’ are driven by little more than rumours of secrets and mysteries hidden in the far reaches. News of dedicated combat wings patrolling the edge of the Rift on behalf of ‘The Children of Raxxla’ has spurred questions regarding what these Rifters expect to find.

Prior to Frame Shift technology the Rift was considered impassible due to the distance between the stars and a high population of unscoopable brown dwarfs; no pilot who attempted the journey was ever reported to have returned. Thanks to Commander Dystopia of the Fuel Rats one more pilot will be returning home to tell the tale. No doubt many more rescues of these hapless "Rifters" are to come.

Title: Gratitude on Behalf of the Simbad Regime
Location: 45 Tauri
Time: Anytime

The Simbad Regime has not only won over the hearts of the citizens of 45 Tauri in its campaign for a better government, but it has pushed the economy into a booming state. The Simbad Regime has gotten a lot of praise for recently bringing an economic blessing and raising security levels to better the lives of the citizens of 45 Tauri, but no government can achieve such feats with pure bureaucracies. As a trusted ally commander of the Simbad Regime, I would like to express gratitude to the commanders that made 45 Tauri great again. Simbad's power is built on your blood, sweat, and ship hull, and I want to thank you all for your hard work. Along with this expression of appreciation, I would also like to relay the message from the Simbad Regime that it is looking towards the goal of expanding its influence into other systems soon, and that we hope to continue to receive your on-going support.

TITLE: Diamond Frog ships reportedly attacking party suppliers near Skvortsov Orbital

TEXT:

Recently, a Radio Skvortsov commentator alerted GalNet News that extremists from the nearby system of Eravate were attacking traders running liquor and other legal narcotics to Skvortsov Orbital. The traders, who hail from all ends of the inhabited galaxy, were invited to the system by the Diamond Frogs, a local mercenary group, to supply a massive party celebrating the return of the 'Distant Worlds' expedition from the far side of the galaxy. However, GalNet News has now received reports indicating that the Eravatian extremists are not the only ones preying on the altruistic traders.

According to these new reports, some Diamond Frog ships are also participating in the piracy. Although there is no evidence that the leadership of the Diamond Frogs, nor any of their prominent commanders, are orchestrating or participating in these attacks, numerous pilots have reported being interdicted by hostile Diamond Frog vessels. One particularly disgruntled commander claimed he alone had been interdicted multiple times by a number of different Diamond Frog ships. The commander noted that "the dingbats keep pulling me out of Supercruise, and it's really starting to get annoying! Don't get me wrong, the Diamond Frogs seem like good people, and I'll continue to bring 'em booze for those brave explorers, but the Frogs really need to get their house in order and put a stop to these shenanigans. It's casting a shadow on the whole endeavor."

Title: Solid State

Location: Antal, Polevnic

Time: ASAP

Description:

There were jubilant scenes aboard Wagner Gateway in Antal last night as Utopian scientists brought the prototype virtual commune known as 'Sukhavati' online.

Populated entirely by neural patterns stored in the Sim Archive, its architects, Curators Gol Deleuze and Zita Ingersoll were delighted at the final outcome:

"Combining Utopian Sim technology with advanced computer mainframe design, we have established a place where the teachings of the Simguru can be fully realised, a true transcendental paradise free from the limitations of the lower worlds."

However, philosophers and theologians have expressed grave concerns about the significant moral and ethical implications of the project. Noted Utopian skeptic Lev Baudrillard registered his disgust at the news:

"By reducing individuals to data, you decrease the value of life itself as people become mere files, endlessly duplicated and destroyed at the whims of others. I'd rather face oblivion than exist in such horrific purgatory."
