It's all in the name, what?

Had a little think last night old chap and picked a few names from some of the planes the jolly old RAF had during the last big scuffle.

Medium fighter - Firefly

Medium Transport - Blenheim
Medium Ground Attack - Hellcat
Forward Operation Support Vessel - Wellington
Loving the RAF banter squiffy!

The RAF'so most awesome WW2 aircraft was the DeHaviland Mosquito. Bomber, fighter, recon, ground attack, anti-submarine. Faster than a fighter.....

Certainly need an ED ship named after it.

Also happens to be the plane with the most *ahem* awkward incidents. Like that whole bombing a school in Denmark thing

Sounds like a Cobra Mk III.

Sticking with the Air theme.

Medium fighter - Spitfire / Hurricane

Medium Transport - Hercules / Atlas
Medium Ground Attack - Buccaneer / Halifax
Forward Operation Support Vessel - Nimrod / Canberra

I think FD should do their bit for british Military history and bring back some names that never were, for instance we could have a long range attack fighter called the TSR2.

There is also:
SR.177
Bristol Brabazon

One word!

Gloucester Meteor!

Well; ok, that's actually two words, what! Damn your eyes sir!

Still a great kite what?

(Fighter - 'Wisp'), (Transport - 'Specter'), (Dropship/Fighter Hanger - 'Summoner'), (Support Vessel - 'Revenant') 'Blak-Myst Engineering'?
