...How faithfully was the Merope system reproduced and how far can one get from a systems primary star?
People have flown many light years away previously. I spent the last week going up to .7ly out from stars (it was seriously boring hence all the forum posting)

Well that easily covers distance... has anyone tried to check out if Barnards Merope nebula is in game?

It's only 0.06LYs away from Merope so about 1.9 million LS.

To prevent confusion maybe I should refer to Barnards Merope nebula as Tempel's Nebula or IC 349 instead.

After the 2.1 Release today/tonight - I am very curious about new things related to the barnacle Story. I could imaging that the barnacle places could bring new things to find out or something else :)

Out of interest, has anyone tried flying towards Barnard's Loop (in supercruise) from Merope? Kinda like how if you fly in the right direction from Sol you can get to the Voyager probes, the mark on the barnacles might still be Barnard's Loop, but as an indicator of the direction you need to fly.

"He'll"? Jacques station is a person? :O

Jaques’ transformation from man to machine began during the time he served as a member of the Quinentis Fourteens, a Federal black ops strike team. His unit was captured by enemy forces during the Battle of Hell’s Gate.

The intrepid ex-soldier spent close to the next 200 years improving his cybernetic implants and saving up to buy the station in order to head off and explore the stars in style, and he is happy for people to join him. Stay tuned to GalNet to find out all the latest developments as they occur.
