Anyone found a UA in the shell yet?

i am currently in the shell looking for UAs, but haven't found one yet.. just 3 ASP convoys.
have checked 5 systems up to now.

seems i just had bad luck, found one now 141ly from Merope.

important info for explorers: thrust gets not set to 0 on jump if you tab out. you'll fly into the sun like in the old days...


oh boy... another thing is back: the plotted route just disappears.

Yup, Barnacles are all destroyed atm - no meta alloys to be had. Or can I just buy them somewhere?

Not all barnacles are destroyed for me, but those that aren’t the mining fragments turn into, well, regular old metals. No meta alloys from 3 fragments so far.

Five fragments for me, zero meta-alloys. But at least I still found UA-s in the shell, at Aries Dark Region UE-P b6-0.

I suspect in 2.1 Meta Alloys are all FARMED. We'll have to find them elsewhere: someone's transporting them now?
Or at least the known Barnacles sites are farmed, and we'll need to find others.
I'll go check the last one found a couple days ago...

And I suggest checking the Mission board in Obsidian Orbital/Maia, for any Meta Alloys related mission.

When you use the data link scanner it tells you what mining fragment you'll get from a barnacle. Scanning the central structure gives a "Scan complete. Data Compromised." message. Maybe scanning everything, perhaps in a particular order, will drop meta alloys?

Checked the one on Pleiades Sector IH-V C2-16 D 2 if that's what you mean. Same thing, materials and random mining fragments (2 silver in this case) but no meta alloys.

The Barnacle in Merope 5C is empty, all the spikes are broken. The central structure anyway is alive and sounding, and can be scanned.
I still suspect some of the Barnacles, starting from the first ones discovered, are EXHAUSTED or are going to be.

Found a UA, promptly drove into it. Oh well. Fragments are ok. Wanted to check if they were all the same.

That said. The spawn rate has massively dropped.

I've been to two sites now, you can't mine them anymore, they have a green aura emitting from the center, they sound like they're breathing, and they have those sparky lights that emit now like an unknown artifact.

So question, where do you get Meta-Alloys from now?

Agreed. I suspect we'll need to find new sites to get Meta-alloys.

Additionally, Soontill relics (the requirements for Elvira Martuuk) no longer appear to be on sale in Ngurii.
