Regarding the barnacles: As a stop gap measure we'll open a market at Darnielle's Progress in the Maia system so you can buy meta-alloys from their surplus for a while.

Michael, any rough idea when barnacles themselves will be fixed?

Personally if I'm going to get meta-alloys, I'd rather get them from a barnacle, as not has a reason to visit one yet

Well that's OK, but I must ask if this will count towards the engineers' donation contracts.
This update is starting to feel so incomplete that I'm starting to expect anything, from bugs to intentional game gimmicks that make the experience much harder.

There has been no official communication on the topic of blocked progression for Engineers in any thread of the Engineers subforum.

Personally I think they should get rid of that sub forum. I haven't even been there and am only now aware of it's existence.
