If you submitted then 8sec later you can highwake out. Dont waste your 25 secs.
Ok this is getting ABSURD
I'm mining INSIDE AN ASTEROID RING... yes inside with 5 collectors out and collecting - and POOF right in front of me appears an Elite Gunship says he's here to kill me... police go after him immediately he goes after me. My 3 Class 3 pulse lasers have absolutely no effect on his shields. I manage to jump away. I thought t was some random thing.. odd.
I had no missions. It was not power play related.
So I go back into the rings to continue mining. I'm back inside the rings. POOOF like MAGIC right in front of me a Fer De Lance appears tells me to drop all my cargo. I'm like no way.. I just started mining . So I jump out again but the jump (a known bug) goes from supercruise back to regular space immediately. This bug infuriates me when it comes to jumping out of a ring.
So I'm down to 80% hull now and this guy isn't even losing a ring of shields. I manage to jump out again. Of course IMMEDIATELY "This is the big haul I'm looking for". H'e sgoing to interdict me now..
So I just quit to desktop. I've had enough of this bovine scatology for one night.
This is just absolutely absurd. MAGICAL machines able to pop right into an asteroid belt and attack me and jump out without a cooldown.
These are DEATH SQUADS sent against you. Plain and simple
I, for one, welcome our new 25 second far at full range death squad FDL NPC overlords.
Time for a new ship.![]()
A rated Python shields, and shield boosters.
Just took off from a station as I cashed in some missions for mining. I was kitting for mining with some weapons. I hit supercruise to hit another station very close.
Instantly interdicted by a FDL. I submitted. I boosted away immediately full speed. He was far at the full range of my radar I was going to get away easily as usual. Nope - LONG RANGE I start getting hit with multicannons ! Yeah Multicannons from KM's away. Thats not the funny part. He said something along the lines of "you must die" didn't want cargo or anything like that.
So 15 seconds later.. yep 15 seconds my shields are gone, my hull is pulverized and I'm dead 10 more seconds later. I did try some evasive at the end to buy time to jump out but
That was insanely overpowered. No questions asked an NPC jumped in and killed a python that fast.
I lost hours of mining I was going to cash in. No biggie I can do it again but there is something awfully wrong here.
When I was in beta I kitted a FDL and fought with it in res zones. It was NOWHERE NEAR this powerful! No way in hell you could take a Python's shields down that fast at that range and kill it in under 30 seconds.
Something is fishy. I'm thinking occasionally they send out instant death NPC's for people.
Either that or something is SERIOUSLY broken. THE NPC's were tough in beta but nowhere near this deadly.
i only welcome it if i can do it as well.... so far the npc been able to tank everything i throw at then and still come out with at least 45% hull and no citically dmg weapons even though a class 4 pa hit the canopy dead center and another pa (also class 4 to the wing edge of the ship
the best thing about it was this is a sidewinder that did it.
I get the feeling that there is something wrong with the Python because most people that complain about getting insta-killed seem to be flying it. I had no such experiences in my Cutter and had no trouble getting away from a Elite FDL today, he did shoot me, but was unable to even dent my 6A Shield backed up by 4 A-Rated Boosters. My 2 Pointdefences went off though, so mybee it was because of the FDL did shoot missiles, still, did not feel threatened and made it savely to the station without further problems.
You should maybee submit a bug report and/or post your exact fittings here so we can have a look at it.

It seems like almost all of these "insta-death" complaints are coming from Python owners. Starting to wonder if maybe the issue is a bug with the Python itself...
