I am old hands in Flight sims and ELITE in the commodore version.
This AI mod is ridiculous you hit an Eagle with a huge cannon and it only drops the shield by one blip???? and then it hits me in bi weave 7 grade shield Conda and it drops my shields
really?

IMHO this is a game breaker
 
Yes, people successfully sue game studio companies for that all the time. I'm awaiting a cheque from RockSteady Games, because the Joker killed me due to their buggy game. And they had the audacity to tell me I was playing the game wrong.

Let me know how much you get, I might do the same thing.

I've agreed with you on some points, but the dev's attitude needs to change. I don't like the robots that you normally deal with who sit there saying "This community is awesome everything is awesome you're all awesome I love you all" but there's a reason they do that. And as we can see from Privata's newfound passion to defend a video game to his deathbed, the dev's audacity - as you put it - has lead people to believe that a fully upgraded Python being taken down to 0% hull in 2 seconds is "working as intended".

I think we can both agree, that's clearly not the case.
 
If its a bug the devs will fix it , if not we should just adapt.
Even if its not a bug the devs might nerf what ever effect causes this...

But they said they will not nerf the AI , they will make the high ranks ones even harder and the low rank ones even dumber

Yes really. How long did it take to drop your shields and how much pips did you have in systems?

Also AI is fine - some Engineer Mods seem to be over the top (imo).

And even the one shot kill thing can be dodged by good flight. and using more than 1 pip in sys.
no it cannot. it didnt work that way for me. the cops are the only thing distracted the viper i faced. i evaded, and rolled and refused to fly straight line and it still got behing me and was hitting me and boost away behind it and boost didnt work. maybe it FA off and just rolled round to face me then boosted but it cuaght/kept up and hitting me all the time. it didnt miss.

I doubt the AI AI has something to do with it.
I've taken volleys from FDLs (which should have a higher damage output - honestly, the vulture has 2 hardpoints, one of them seemed PA, how does the other one put out that much DPS?) in similar situations in a 5C Biweave unmodded FAS and it was "ouch" but not "kaboom, your're dead".

The fact that you can turn on your computer and operate a keyboard to a basic level is a true marvel of nature.

AI are also still not limited by ammo whatsoever. Just had a Fed Dropship interdict me and do nothing but launch dumbfires at me. I put 4 pips to sys, 2 to engines, assist off, thrust up and rotate so was pretty safe, letting my PDT take care of any missiles that got close.

I let this play out for ten IRL minutes and the Dropship continued to fire missile after missile at me.

The AI itself probably wouldn't be too bad if they had the same restraints as human players, e.g ammo, heat, manoeuvrability, etc.

What does "cant play" mean?

- they cant log in?
- they cant undock?
- they cant leave the forum?

And please STOP the childish threats. If ED is going to close down servers I doubt seriously that any AI is going to be the culprit.
People just got used to the broken AI from 1.3 and forward. Now were back to normal and people start throwing childish internet threats around.

I have played for two full days now, not died a single time. Had to pack up and leave a few times but thats just working as intended.

Its not a human right to win in video games.
Can't as in, are now out of money, are unable to leave the station they're at without a pretty decent chance of losing their ship.

And what threats?
No one's said that ED is closing down.
The other guy said there's people that can't or won't play with this mess.
And it's not even the AI that's the problem, it's the maxed upgrades on NPCs, and ships getting taken down in seconds.
I don't even think when doing combat runs before a Sidewinder / Adder would go down that quick!

I stated that there are lots of people that this update has rendered the game unplayable for.
Yes, it's not a 'Human Right to win in Video Games', but a MASSIVE difficulty increase and/or instakill bugs is not fun.

I'm glad you are enjoying it and haven't died - that's great. I'm also willing to bet you've got a more combat orientated ship.

I like the new AI, engineer mods are clearly not working as intended with some of them, in that needs to be sorted. but the levels of Aggression is about right i'd say. The best solution for me at least, in the short term is to remove the AI's access to the mod's and see how it works and try and figure out how the AI gets seemingly infinite ammo, can ignore chaff and cares nothing for heat build up, if they can fix that, then perhaps the modded weapons will work as intended so they can put them back on the AI.

Instead of another git gud, Post a video on your youtube channel of a 2.1 res bounty hunting with some SERIOUS suggestions or strategy.

The fact is, I actually DO think people just need to relax and play the game.

Winning is not a human right. Sometimes you loose. I loose all the time as well, but I know how to cut my losses.
And I do most certainly not run to internet forums crying about exploded pixels.
And threats of lawsuits and other nonsense has eroded this thread for a LONG time.

The world has bigger issues. I hope some of the people here face those problems with the same energy. (and threats).

tldr, if its ok to make threats I feel its ok to say "git gud".
 
Yes it would, because people got used to semi AFK in Anacondas and Corvettes.
When you hurt a farmers CR/HR ratio you must prepare for skyfall.

The AI is fine. If not then I must be some super duper combat guru. But I am not.

Seriously...i understand you may be having a great time at the moment. However as the previous been playing since the original beta. I will agree its unlikely the AI thats the issue but there is a lot of evidence that there is an issue with the weapon load outs they are getting. Since launch Ive been into Haz Rez a few times. the first few times yes hard but ok better cant farm as we used to, which I did but am glad its gone as its boring after a while. Next time i went in a single sidey nearly dropped my shields in around 3 shots...That is a massive issue. I would be rather glad to have it give me a big challenge but thats ridiculous.

So its not the AI its the load out nothing to do with how they fly what they carry. If you havent had this yet great!! Go find a comp Nav or Has Res see if it happens for you. If not then there may be another underlying issue with accounts rather than the whole game.
 
The guy had one pip in his system. he should have had more if he did not want to die.
I dont think its a bug , but if it is then FD will fix it.

4 pips in shields give you about 50% more shield strength, IIRC. That would have given the guy one extra second - no difference whatsoever.
