I think the poll needs to be closed. Why? Because the longer it stays open the more likely it will be biased towards those who don't share my opinion that everything is fine.
There, fixed that for you

I think the poll needs to be closed. Why? Because the longer it stays open the more likely it will be biased towards those who complain ED is now too hard. Why? Because people tend to flock to forums to voice dissatisfaction vs bestowing praise. It's why all gaming forums are overwhelmingly negative post-launch. So, to avoid sampling bias, I suggest the poll be closed. If it's not, we'll simply see more votes towards "too hard" and risk ED taking inappropriate action. The current poll size is more than big enough to draw meaningful conclusions, and already suffering from sampling bias.

This is a bad argument.
You're basically saying "I want to remove peoples ability to influence this because I don't agree with their viewpoint".
I also take an alternate view on the sampling bias point.
Forum users are more likely to be "hardcore" players with the ability to deal well with these changes, making a forum poll naturally biased.
To be honest, and other people have said it, paid beta is a bad idea
The npc's are way to hard. I trade in a Cutter and I seem to only get interdicted buy Fur de lance's and Anaconda's. they almost kill me every time and I barley get away every time. I've played around six hours and been interdicted almost every run which is 3 jumps 1 way. If I was pulled out of warp twice and attacked going the 3 jumps 1 way I would be dead for sure. My insurance is 20 mil a death. I played every night till this engineer patch came. This engineers patch makes me not want to play anymore. So im done playing till these npc's are fixed. Almost forgot my trade run I don't get as much credits anymore. Big patch Big fail for the way I like to play.
If that were the case the poll results would have been biased towards the "hardcore" players to begin with. Complainers > any other group of people on a forum, so leave a poll open long enough and it'll go "negative". That's simply the Internet and mathematical inevitability at work. Got nothing to do with my opinion.
AI is just too hard for the average Pilot now. I'm flying a Vulture which is meant to be the most agile combat ship, yet I couldn't believe it when an AI Sidey was out manoeuvring me. I don't claim to be a good pilot, however I did by the game to be fun and now its very much not fun. 6 million down in 4 hours is not fun. Before I could safely manoeuvre behind ships and now I just can't get behind any thing nor can I shake off any enemy that targets me. If I run I lose power and then sit in space waiting to go boom (around 10 secs). I think AI is a tad too difficult now and is making an awesome game less appealing. Don't want to do 1 years worth of mission grinding to be able to afford a ship.
this new update means DEATH TO ALL NOOBS
I got a reply from support.
A partial reply, and they told me to get good.
I... don't even.
Apparently, it's working as intended.
