Sure but it wasn't a attack was it? It was a perspective of a public crowd funded game. GORF's post's are well respected because they offer researched sources, praise to people working on the game and criticism where he thinks fit. You must remember its his opinion and the reason I posted was to show that sa forums are not a total hate thread and that there is a very good analysis of star citizen and why it can be construed as disaster waiting to happen. I am free to have this opinion and share it.

In all nothing in your reply has added to the conversation. I posted a quote that adds to the discussion about star citizen. I am sorry if you don't agree with it but this post adds nothing to and I think deflects from what is an reasonable post about the game.

4 years, $250 and a messy, buggy tech demo that plays like a Freelancer is not what I was originally promised or signed up for.
Let's see what they respond.
They do continually, which is why this whole thing is laughable. ED is 'boring' with an awful slow flight model and no content. If ED was in development hell and missing deadlines left right and centre they would be all over it like a rash, Star Citizen fanatics like to play the victim card. Sometimes they blame Smart, other times the 'toxic' ED community, sometimes the 'clickbait' press. Choose your poison! One thing they continually fail to do is ask the hard questions and demand answers of the company they are funding which IMO is a key reason this project has gotten so badly derailed since my original pledge in 2012.

I got total war Warhammer a few days ago and am thoroughly enjoying it. Still take breaks with ME3 coop but have been hard pressed at my desk lately so no room for the hotas in a while. Look forward to seeing the changes to ED when I do though. Yeah, lots of great games out in a variety of genres. It's a bit sad SC is nowhere among them.Even after decades of gaming it's really baffling to me how many amazing games we currently have the chance to play.
All this, at a time when we apparently needed saving from all those bad publisher games and evil console ports
I think, as gamers, we should be very grateful.

That guy's post are well respect in SA forum alone, guess what so are DSmart posts. It's not a poll of gaming knowledge or constructive criticism for a greater good but only a cesspool of hateful, bitter and resentful people who's only purpose is to laugh at things, guess what they do it about everything if it fits the narrative. That includes elite too lol.
There's nothing good coming from there, there is no though-full thinking there, no objective criticism, just dsmart narrative because ocd kids are easily manipulated.
You've obviously played games before, this rare and arcane knowledge makes you biased against over-hyped broken 5 year old tech demo's.

If you want to argue with something someone posted on SA do you really think this is the right place ?.
You should also bear in mind that SA is a self described comedy forum when you complain that they laugh at things. That's pretty much SA's purpose.

Regarding G0RF or any other dsmart gospel preacher, I can't take them serious, I just cant because most of the foundation of their premises are based in blatant lies, extrapolated half-truths AND no game development knowledge.

Quite a nonsensical formula, for me. Criticism implies personal opinion, taste and sensibility. Otherwise, an "objective criticism" would only be a simple fact checklist.
Now, for having exeprienced many debates regarding "objective reviews of videogame", I figured that most of the time somebody calling for "objective criticism" can be sumed up as "write what I want to read".

I agree It's not the same but you can judge many things by watching people play games.
You don't need to fly the ships to see that they behave as if they have no mass.
You don't need to play the game to see that it has practically no content.
You basically want people to buy the game, download 24GBs just so that you have one less excuse to dismiss any critisism?
