Stop that! ... It's getting silly.

But the Big problem is .. no matter what FD do .. people will lose their turnips and they cannot win.

How about letting players choose their own difficulty level? How about increasing payouts/rewards with increasing difficulty levels?

Those who don't want to constantly fight can choose a low difficulty level and those who want a challenge every time they encounter an NPC can choose a higher difficulty level. Blizzard did this decades ago with Diablo, with further refinement in Diablo 3.

Would it be a pain to program in difficulty levels? Maybe. Would it quiet everyone's      ing? Probably.

Technically, you were breathing water for about 9 months. And according to "The Abyss", you could do it again, although that's probably not true under any circumstance. However, I would not ever, EVER recommend a turnip.

That was a good movie. But I liked the book better.

Seriously though., the problem is that people think that "complaining" and "feeding back" are the same thing. My experience has been that rational feedback is listen too. Screaming "OMG fix dis or I leave" will be ignored.

Fair enough approach I think.

How do you do that in an online, instance based game though... you could have your level set at 'easy' and drop into an instance created by a player who has their level set to 'maximum carnage' .. that's how this matchmaking works, instancing.

And to be fair, people can now gauge their difficulty level by seeing which NPC levels they can deal with .. If a Dangerous NPC is too much ... run, and don't take any missions above dangerous levels.

Trying to give some facts from previous days experience.
Overall capabillities on NPCs interdiction improved significantly. This was announced before. I am more or less fine.

If engaged in missions. Mission related NPCs seem to somehow balanced against mission level so you can have a guess what to expect.

BGS NPCs are spawned way too often with high ranks. Havin now 4 ELITE NPCs met since 2.1 trying to take my life including chain interdictions
even after System Authority arrived to hook him up. I don't know how he made to get out of 3 Authority vessels combat within 5 seconds to start the next interdiction on me. I jumped out to SC an he right after me. Then the police was gone. No more intrest to mix him up. sigh.
So interdicted 10 times within 2 weeks from Elite ships now.
I hadn't that in 18 months before.

Also they appear out of nothing (2 secs before the radar behind me was clear) and start interdiction from strange positioning 25 - 30° angle.
So there is some work in what is flying around in a system to catch you. Cannot happen that ELTE ships are 33% of all and what they can do.
If frontier makes this reasonable most of the rants will go away.
I don't mind that overall skill of NPC has been improved. Until now I survived more or less healthy. if FD gives lots of them to the dedicated action zones
where they will make some sense, ok I willnot join there, I don't like combat. Out of them: I like flying in space and a challenge from time to time.
(Once or twice a week is enough for me) I will like this a lot more.
Yes, I know all the combatiers are now fully set, but keep in mind the other half is more or less upset. For myself I do not need Adreanline in the
evening, my RL day has enough stress to offer so I want to relax somehow with intresting things.
A lot of that update FD did right like the mission system which really improved in variety and meaning.
NPC flight skill improvement is ok for me, I will learn to live with it. But as I said before please FD take a look whats flying around in a system
and rebalance this to resonable values.

Regards,

Miklos

I think if we're honest with ourselves we have to admit that the pre-nerf turnips were OP. But the turnip related opportunities in Robigo were a lot of fun. Not to mention PP turnips, Wing turnips and Engineer turnips. Apparently there is a turnip shortage in Cambridgeshire, with the locals reduced to eating their butternut squash reserves. The local police are preparing for civil unrest.

There is no lack of Turnips on my end .....
