General / Off-Topic Predict the result of the referendum. Let's see how smart we are!

How will the UK vote in the EU referendum?

  • Total voters
    49
  • Poll closed .
Don't worry Ladies and gents, my collegues and I had worked really hard together so I can absolutely categorically say 100% we will remain in the EU. It has already been a foregone conclusion from the start.

I'm on the phone so can't vote in the poll. I think UK will stay in Europe, because people are quick to open their mouths to say they aren't happy with things, but not so eager to act when the time comes. I expect Stay to win by a small margin.

(I'm french btw)

I was thinking this myself. 6 people around a table, complaining about whatever and although 3 may disagree, they won't say anything, just to be a part of the crowd.

Everything I've been hearing on the news suggests that the margin will be tight. I think no matter which side wins there will be resentment. Unfortunate, yes, but probably accurate.

You don't know how right you're in this matter, its not a win-win situation, its more a lose-lose situation no matter what I'm afraid.

Nope, my Polish partner, has just been told she can't vote. No real reason given.

there is actually a real reason, and that is the same reason that you would not be able to vote in a Polish referendum, you may be an EU citizen but not officially a Polish one.

*Sigh* Oh goody: another poll.

I've already done a humungous wodge of stuff on bookmakers and what they're making of it all. Last time I looked they had remain at 6 to 1 on and Leave at 4 to 1 against so I'm happy to go with that. As to the margin (which, despite appearances, these numbers don't cover), I'm actually thinking in terms of a significant (though not necessarily large) margin - perhaps as much as 55/45 (citing the Scottish referendum result as an example).

IMHO UK will stay.

Reasons.

1, labor unions. they called the members to vote stay.

2, letter votes. (mostly) No one who works or lives in other EU countries going to vote in the side of exit.

3, knifing.

+1 the referendum is not legally binding

Edit; guard the letters!

60/40 to Remain imo :(

I believe people in a few years time will regret not getting out but I won't be around, so whatever will be will be.
