I applied to both of the groups and have been on TS for about a week now I suppose. So far while I wait I have enjoyed talking with the folks on TS for sure. I applied to both as my wife and I work from home so I play at all times of the day and night sometimes. I do hope that is ok.... I look forward to getting my invites!
ideally we prefer that players choose the one group, that being Mobius for EU and Asia or Mobius Pve for us, if I notice names that have applied for both groups they will be declined joining the other.

Sorry guys but I think we need new rules for Mobius for Combat Zones, I know that pvp is allowed at the moment in combat zones but I think modified weapons should change all that. At the moment we have a few human Cmdrs who are coming into the Zones and seeing how things look and then choosing a faction. If there are a couple of Fed aligned Cmdrs they choose the Imperial side and attack. If like last night there were about 8 of us on Fed side including a couple of Elite pilots these brave people then choose the Fed side. Today they are back on the Imperial side and using modified weapons, one just destroyed my ship in two shots. Why are these people in Mobius? Maybe because they are too scared to go into Open and choose to attack players not used to pvp.
For me the big rule of Mobius is don't spoil other people's game , these people are doing that, they are choosing a side that suits them rather than a side they want to fight for.

I am no expert here but my understanding is for any Cmdrs to engage in PVP activities that it must be mutually agreed upon.
Just going into a CZ does not give automatic rights to shoot at any ship they deem an enemy. This can be done elsewhere like open. Mobius is a dedicated PVE and only when two Cmdrs "agree" to terms of a PVP engagement is this allowed.
If they did not ask for your consent to engage this would be a violation.

Thanks but I do think what they did was allowed under current rules but my point is that they are only in there to target users who they know they can beat. They have modified weapons , probably used to Open, I know one in particular is a regular pvp Open player. They are on whichever side they feel allows them to target human commanders. If that's what they want to do they should be in Open. They are totally ruining my game and I won't be doing the CG anymore
Hmmm if this is true then it's not true PVE for me. The only way to be PVE in a CZ would be solo or another private group you controlled. I guess I misunderstood the rules. I fully expect a request from a Cmdr to engage which I would decline since I'm not interested in PVP. I know where I could go if I did.
As for the weapons they may realize that not all Cmdrs have been seeking Modified Weapons much less getting good ones. They are probably the first batch of Cmdrs who have achieved great results on modified weapons and are taking advantage before everyone has something to even the playing field. I can certainly agree on the "ruining the game" feeling. Not what I would like to happen either.

Agreed if it's not fun why be involved. RL is usually the reason for me to jump in game and relax. Really don't wish for conflicts in game. I fly solo unless the friends I have are on a mission to help the CG's by combining their efforts. That's when I jump into the Mobius groups.

Switching factions solely in order to target other players is against the Mobius rules but it's a difficult one to police: how quickly is too quickly when it comes to switching sides? In this case it sounds as though someone is using the letter of the rules to defeat the spirit of the rules, a not uncommon tactic when trying to undermine something you don't like or that you feel is detrimental to your play style (cf SDC's charity "event" that so brilliantly trolled FD with their own rules).
If the weapon imbalance is so great that defeat is assured, the only solution is to only enter CZs in Solo, or a dedicated private group if you want to wing up.

You actually joined the CZ after me, after I had already declared for Citizens of Tradition and engaged a federal AI corvette.
From my video recording, you shot me first, too.
None of my weapons are modified, btw.
Daramo belongs to the Empire now. I have top 5% for the Empire CG, I am not switching sides around willy nilly to get more targets.

I didn't fire at you first and why did I see you later that same day fighting for the Feds when there were a lot of Cmdrs in the zone who were Feds? I didn't say you were using Modified weapons, I also didn't name you. If you like pvp you should be in Open. You targeted me when I already had 3 NPCs attacking me and you carried on even when I was helpless. Then not an hour later there you were on the side of Feds
I didn't intentionally fire at you, maybe some cross fire got you, but I doubt it. I do not fire at Cmdrs, the purpose of Mobius is PvE, why are you in Mobius? You aren't answering me, why did fight for the Imperial side, then the Feds, then the Imperials again?
I am in Mobius because of all the toxic players in Open. I play by the rules. You've accused me of breaking these rules, and I am defending myself now. Not by name, because that's not allowed on this forum, but what if someone had asked you in PM? Would you not have dropped my name at that point?

I don't see me firing on you on purpose and I never fired at you again yet you continually fired until I was destroyed, I'm not arguing with you, if I had deliberately fired on you I would have continued to do so. I was no threat to you at all but that is why you are in Mobius, Open is too threatening
