indeed, this looks like trump being an ass to me. but i wont make judgment on the small amount of information i'v got so far, all one sided
I would want to know what lead to the 10 ten-foot high berm of earth, did the lady say she didn't want to be looking at the gold course or parked cars? did she play a game and agree to some sort of way to cover her view from the course?
when you look at the 10 ten-foot high berm of earth and think about it, it is equivalent to a 10 foot fence, but this is more natural looking (once it grows in). A 10 foot fence would have been worse (and other issues of a fence over organic structures), but needed , to protect the property for the lady. its not relay about the blocking of view (that's a side effect). there need to be a barrier to stop stray golf balls smashing her house, and people looking in to here property. This doesn't make it fair on the lady, but it was probably not a malicious attempt to block her view.
Did Donald trump get reassurances when he bought the land that where false (meaning the blame is not just with trump). Were the local people consulted about the sale of the land before trump was even on the scene ?
trump may have lost out millions if he could not get what he though he was getting, because he was mislead, and then this lead to some horrible tactics (some people are driven by cash, its not a good things, just how it is). so some of the blame (maybe a lot) may be with the local governance, but its better to blame and outsider.
other stories linked to this one seem to push such things as;
-The bouncers where so tall
-The text was so small
-The walk to the meeting hall on planning was so far away
all emotion triggers to bias the readers.
Could take weeks to get the real story behind this, something i don't want to invest in

so maybe he did something horrible here, maybe not. its never as clear cuts as the media puts it.
