Well the vote has been cast now we have to deal with the fallout and dust ourselves down and move forwards. For better or worse we stand a's one nation the only good I can see is we can enact our own law affecting everything without waiting for the EU to ratify it.

We are now in charge of our own destiny for better or worse.

Russia also doesn't like the idea of Ukraine etc joining the EU either so it will be interesting how and who joins now, so me it seems like a diplomatic world war.

lol ninja'd

:) that's nothing new

They had a democratic vote and i think it was like 90% (anyone has the correct numbers, please post) of people in Gibraltar wanted to stay in the UK. Spain would have to take unlawful action to get Gibraltar, unless Gibraltar has changed its mind.

Yes.
And Gibraltar also Voted Majorly for Remaining in the EU :)

Now think about it why Spain is Demanding Gibraltar Back :p
Chances are that the Number of People who would Vote for Leaving UK have Increased Tremendously now *gg*

Unbelievable ! One of the most asked questions on Google in the UK, following the Brexit is ... "What is the EU ?" ---- https://twitter.com/GoogleTrends/status/746303118820937728/photo/1?ref_src=twsrc^tfw ---- It is also true that in France we do not really know more :)

Well thats to be Expected tough.
The Joke is. Alot of the People who Voted for Brexit. Are those from the Outer Country Regions which have in their Lifetime never seen these Regulations or Immigrants which they are Scared off taking over their Country if they had Remained in the EU.
It was even Funnier to see the Reactions that Reporters got when going into the Countryside and Asking People there why they are so Brexit Oriented when they are getting so much Subventions from the EU.
(For those who dont know. One of the Special Exceptions Britain got was that their Agrar Sector was Heavily Supported to make sure Britain would remain Self Sufficient and Farmers would not go out of Business by EU Farmers Selling UK the Stuff Cheaper. Thanks to that the Farmers in the UK have been Selling stuff into the EU very Cheaply thanks to this Financial Support keeping their Farms way Bigger than what they normally would be able to Support)

Most of the People did not know what the EU is. Much less that they are getting Money from the EU. ^^
Well they are the lucky ones here tough.
UK will Support them themselves now. As they have an National Interest to keep them Alife. So the Farmers will likely be the ones which will take the least Damage from leaving the EU.
The Main Damage will be in the Bigger Cities.

The exit of the United Kingdom of the European Union will not happen as an "amicable divorce", warned the president of the European Commission Jean-Claude Juncker, and asks London, puts "immediately" its request to leave the EU. " It is not an amicable divorce but after all it was not either a big love relation ", he said on the German television ARD yesterday evening. An ungrateful and a hypocrite this Juncker !

:D

Well that doesn't surprise me at all and make me very sad.

But "This country had enough of so-called experts", huh? :p

Give me a good reason why he should be grateful?

And yes, the EU-UK relations were always with an arms length between them, thanks to the UK btw.

Not really surprising is it?

There are far more people in the world not in the EU than are - and an awful lot of those are in the US many of whom are famous for not knowing much about things outside the US.

ETA - and now ladies and gentlemen of the EU and beyond I shall take my leave of this thread for the time being. Have fun, be nice - and if you can't be nice try and be funny.

ETA2 - retracted - misread the article.

But precisely the Brexit ! It is a great service for the UE . An electroshock perhaps beneficial for a different Europe

Nope.
Sorry but its likely an Accelerator for the Political Union and the Super State Europe.

Britain was the only Bigger Country Blocking this sort of Stuff.
So now with Britain Gone. The Chances of EU moving much closer together have never been higher.
Moreover UK will have its Economy Crushed real Badly. Which will take the Wind out of the Sails of any Party Defying the EU.

Heck some don't know what's happening in the US.

In my opinion if we was he'll bent on being big in the EU we would have had the Euro years ago so we could have the same clout as everyone else. However seeing as we never did or ever will in the foreseeable future is a good indication were not European.

It makes the EU aware that there are massive problems with the current state it is in, yeah.

But on the other hand, the Brexit probably caused the third economic crisis in ten years. There's no reason to be grateful for that.

Also I support kicking the UK out of the EU if they refrain from submitting article 50. Simply to calm the markets.

I don't think there's anything wrong in typing "What is the EU?" to get a more detailed description of what it is and how it works.

A sadder Google enquiry would be "What's the difference between the EU and the UN?" :D

Farages next project :p Brexit 2.0 - regain your independence from the capitalist slave drivers in the UN :p

I guess "gold course" was a bit of a Freudian slit.
Here's a summary of the story..
http://fortune.com/2016/06/22/donald-trump-scotland-golf/

The bit of the article which gets me is..

indeed, this looks like trump being an ass to me. but i wont make judgment on the small amount of information i'v got so far, all one sided

I would want to know what lead to the 10 ten-foot high berm of earth, did the lady say she didn't want to be looking at the gold course or parked cars? did she play a game and agree to some sort of way to cover her view from the course?

when you look at the 10 ten-foot high berm of earth and think about it, it is equivalent to a 10 foot fence, but this is more natural looking (once it grows in). A 10 foot fence would have been worse (and other issues of a fence over organic structures), but needed , to protect the property for the lady. its not relay about the blocking of view (that's a side effect). there need to be a barrier to stop stray golf balls smashing her house, and people looking in to here property. This doesn't make it fair on the lady, but it was probably not a malicious attempt to block her view.

Did Donald trump get reassurances when he bought the land that where false (meaning the blame is not just with trump). Were the local people consulted about the sale of the land before trump was even on the scene ?

trump may have lost out millions if he could not get what he though he was getting, because he was mislead, and then this lead to some horrible tactics (some people are driven by cash, its not a good things, just how it is). so some of the blame (maybe a lot) may be with the local governance, but its better to blame and outsider.

other stories linked to this one seem to push such things as;

-The bouncers where so tall
-The text was so small
-The walk to the meeting hall on planning was so far away

all emotion triggers to bias the readers.

Could take weeks to get the real story behind this, something i don't want to invest in :p so maybe he did something horrible here, maybe not. its never as clear cuts as the media puts it.

Even though I'm in the UK I consider myself Human which negates any economic region as everyone is human first and they are born into it before anything else.

The sooner we sort that one the better :)

You can see here pretty good how ridiculous Trumps behaviour can be if he has an ill mind towards you. :)

EU made Concessions to UK for being Part of the EU.
This was made back in the time where the EU was not an Big Institution. They wanted to have UK as Market.

Alot of People throughout Europe have for a long Time demanded that now that the EU is an Giant Market. The EU needs to stop Giving UK Special Treatment.

Now that UK has left. Alot of these People of course Demand that UK is Punished Severely by Denying them Access to the Market and make an Example of them by having UK go Down.
Its fairly Likely that this will also be what happens now.

For the EU this is a Fight for its Life. They cannot Back down because if they do. Other Countries will Follow.

Spain demanding back Gibraltar.
North Ireland and Scottland Demanding Independence from United Kingdom and Rejoin the EU.

Russia has already Announced it wont take any Steps to Help UK either.

The USA is something I would be worried most about now as an British Citizen.
The Democrats with Clinton will likely Show a Cold Shoulder to Britain as Britain has gone against them.
This is actually Bad.
But I fear Trump would be even Worse. Because Trump will Offer Aid. But only US Conditions and only in Return for really Bad Terms as the USA now has an Insanely Powerful Position against UK.

On the EU the Steps is already happening.
Now that UK has made its Votum. UK Government is trying to Slow down. Because they know whats going to happen.
And EU is Pushing now. Attempting to get UK out as Fast as Possible.

Will Schottland and Ireland leave the UK? Possibly, will it be bad for the UK, well not really it all depends. Will Gibraltar leave the UK, no way. Will Spain take it back by force? no way.
So stop fear mongering, no one here know what will happen.

Maybe you guys should deal with Merkel first, that woman has not done anything good for Germany nor the EU as a whole.
