[NEWS] 13th Legion Responds Directly to Zachary Hudson

We will come to the Federation capital of Nanomam and deploy a system blockade.

As I am in a good mood: that is not our capital. Our capital is called 'Sol', you may have heard of it. Nanoman is the capital of Hudon's politcal Power. A power and a Superpower are, however, not the same. I can understand this is confusing for a barely literate impy, so I offer you some home-schooling in the basics of interstellar politics. Don't worry, I know you cant afford the meager tuition fee, so I'll allow you to earn your education by cleaning the windshields of my Corvette.

CMDR Nightshady was not an Imperial noble. He does not speak or act like an Imperial noble, because he never was one.

Don't worry, we are all painfully aware of it.

Still a load of crap, the empire's military does not act independent of the emperor's wishes. So as lord commander, you just went rogue and completely against your own faction, good job.

As the 13th Legion has not received any direct communication from the Emperor that she is opposed to our efforts, we can only assume that we have the blessing to act on behalf of the Empire as we see fit as the player Imperial military. Should the Emperor decide to give us direct guidance, we would obey without question.

If the Emperor asks us to withdraw our forces, we would do so with utmost haste. Since we haven't had any response from the Emperor, we will continue to perform operations as we see fit being the player Imperial military.

Question: does Imperial Military always act without orders? In your statements, you never stated that Emperor (Arissa is Supreme Commander of Imperial forces, right?) issued any orders to attack Segovan or, in this case, Nanomam. I assume there is none. Which means you and your group gone rogue and thus are criminals under both Federal (terrorism and mass murder) and Imperial (desertion) law.

Ninja'd :) No orders mean you are rogues. You are (or should I say "was") military officer, and these do not "assume", they follow orders. Especially if it concerns attacking another sovereign power.

Certain defensive operations, such as this peace-keeping mission in Nanomam, are understood to be under the discretion of the military leaders in the 13th Legion. Should we receive communication from the Emperor with specific orders, we would follow them.

Who are the 13th Legion?

Apparantly they are a group of people claiming responsibility for losing all of the latest battles against the Federation. In frustration they went to Mobius and killed some people, which got them ridiculed quite badly. Now they want to take revenge by attacking the captial of the Federation, but they dont know where it is. One can only hope at this point there is some charity organisation in the Empire that takes pity on these poor folks. I wanted to add "before they hurt themselves", but considering they lost all recent battles that would be rubbing it in a bit.

You are NOT the Imperial Military, at best you're in the Imperial Navy Auxillary, a bunch of volunteers and mercenaries, who lost to Fed Navy and their auxillary battle after battle. So the only way you have any chance to respond is in backhanded terrorist tactics, harming innocent citizens, businesses, and visitors in the systems you try and 'blockade'.

[SUGGESTION] Wouldn't it be a rather wise idea if whomsoever runs the Commodity Markets in each station *didn't* pay loads of money for these service-disrupting, station-closing artefacts? Wouldn't that be a good idea in a self-preserving kinda way?

I was under the impression UA's are illegal salvage, aren't they sold on the black market?

You call invasion in Nanomam a "peacekeeping mission"? That is "under the discretion of the military leaders in the 13th Legion"? That's the very definition of going rogue.

Yes but you would think after everything that has happened recently and the high profile of the Jaques incedent that there would be extensive screening going on to avoid any getting into a station.

Realistically it would NOT be easy to smuggle them and hide them for very long on a station. Since they sing, bend at least light around them a slight bit, and also shot out bits of light or w/e it is they shoot out. As well as them being as big as a person while doing all of that.

I'm sure the Emperor would actively encourage in the use of UAs, what with her strong stance on law and justice... And UAs being highly illegal in both the Empire and the Federation; Practically as bad as biological warfare. Either the 13th Legion are terrorists or the Empire itself is just as terrible as it always seems to paint the Federation. In either case, you're in the wrong and you know it.

Ah, the old "we killed a bunch of civilians but it's your fault because we don't like you." A classic line for terrorists.

It just shows fd is hurt by deciding the course of the story. I keep noticing the players don't do any real change in the universe. That kind of change is illusory, as another thread put it.

One less thing that seemed great but now is just meh, the apparent lack of role-play. Wait for the real (psychological) terrorists using the hand of god in both writing and gaming.

Unfortunately, that's not how the Empire tends to work.
They usually deal with their problems by stabbing people they don't like in the back.

lol - you are the one stalking every, single, one of the posts of Nightshady, 13th Legion, the open letter post, and the CG post (your avatar - which is obviously a picture of you with uncontrollable rage thoughts of the empire on your mind, is very noticable). For someone constantly raging on and on about how much the 13th Legion doesn't matter, you sure are making a full time job about it. If I'm wrong, why not just leave these threads since they don't matter.

Why not enjoy a group trying to bring some real FUN to the game rather than trying to keep it what it was - boring. God you people complained about their constant PvP - now that they actually try PvE you guys rage as well. IT'S A GAME, HAVE FUN OR QUIT.
