Since the requests are checked manually...and there are maybe two or three in queue now...i won't expect it to show up today

If you already have an in-game Commander name and wish to keep it, this is of no use to you. You only need this if ...

* You wish tho register a name because up until now you have been Cmdr 56789 (for example)

* You wish to change your current Cmdr name

I wish to register London2012Torchie as I was one of the 8000 back in 2012 & still have the torch too

Now I couldn't decide between "Helios Prime" and "Helios Galaxy" and went with something completely different, signifying my limitless grandeur, immortality and supremacy. Look forward to meeting me in game. (Though I'm generally peaceful and when unprovoked the only danger you will face when meeting me will likely be the possibility of being blinded by the pure awesomeness of my name and then crashing into something.)

Someone already thought of Commander Commander and had to change their chosen Cmdr name, I think he settled for something Latin, I can't remember.

If you listen to some of the early Lave Radio podcasts Ashley said there was a Commander Commander already. I have no idea who that is, or even if they later said "actually, that was a mistake."

There was a huge credits bonus to alpha backers recently for testing purposes, I'm guessing it went out to everyone, including those without current access. I do not, however, expect us to have that come Friday. I could be wrong but I wouldn't be surprised for a wipe to occur for the first beta wave.

If you've already reserved your commander name through the backer app you don't need to do it again, unless you want to change the name - although be warned that if you do then you'll lose the original name.

You can't reserve a second name. If you request a new one it will replace your original one, unless you buy a second version of the game I guess.

That wasn't my thinking ... what I was saying is that I highly doubt that anyone will use my Luniticisi name during the Beta (or at any time) so maybe I should change my name ... as when it comes to game release I will be able to choose any name that doesn't include "Jameson" or somebody's chosen name in which case I think that Luniticisi will be free ... That is why I made the name up in the first place
