my cargo was damaged a lot by the presence of the UA.
Palin doesn't want me , i made a trip of 5000 ly and he didn't send me the invite.[mad]
I sent a ticket to the support for that

5 minutes ago something happened.

i was carrying the UA to the -28 -140 area .. when i entered the zone the cargo autoejected the UA
a coincidence ? is it normal that after a long time that you carry the UA it autoejects from the cargo ?

Sterlino... you know that the UA corrodes your modules, with a preference for your cargo hatch, don't you? :)
Have you noticed those module corrosion notifications on the upper right of your cockpit?
If you do not repair the hatch, the UA/UP will eventually escape from your ship. And if you are in SC... well...

That's what Palin's anti corrosion racks are for.

Really who, I laugh at every post you post: EVERYTIME! :D :D :D :D
Whenever I see "who?", I know it's you, and I'm ready to laugh!

Hey! I'm trying to be a serious scientist here. I'm conducting a ridiculously scientific experiment into the disruptive effects of humour on productivity. Based on your contributions to this thread, I'm thiiiiiiiinking you may be in the control group...

I honestly starting to think that we won't resolve this puzzle till frontier wants us to solve it..

Some kind of acknowledgement we are still in business would be much appreciated to be honest.

hey, how is your baracle hunting going?

Who actually said this and when was it? Would like to have a listen myself.

Anecdotally though, assuming it is true, I really feel like it must be linked.

Kerrash Landing.

A few things that have got brushed under the carpet as it where.
The mysterious Diamondback Explorer designated “S6 -7” found briefly ‘scanning’ Obsidian Orbital. If this report is true then perhapse our unknown ‘friends’ are scanning suitable ships through the Unknown Artifacts which actively scan ships and the surrounding area. These UA’s may relay this info back to the owner.
Coud this indicate that our friends know how a Diamondback Explorer now works and if so, would the Unknown Probe, when scanned actually be able to FULLY control or access this ship? If so a brave CMDR would then honk the probe in a Diamondback Explorer.

The other thing is the way these guys communicate. Image and sound. The UA’s react to proximity and the UP’s react to being scanned. Is there any other way to communicate to them via other modules? A lot has been tried so far but we still might be missing something, be it a module or objects we can store in our holds. Like Hydrogen was key to unlocking Voyager’s disks something similar might help in this endevour.
Also FD hinted in a Galnet article that we might have ‘a key’ . Nicely hinted in a green colour. Could key actually be a musical reference? And ‘a’ be a tone like a-minor? There are hints that these things like to sing and then they find you. And on that ‘note’ ( see what I did there? )could those that have sung ( scanned the probes ) be expecting to be found? Prepare youselves.

Does the UP corrode racks the same as the UA? Same with SRV? I've not seen it mentioned before just then when rizal just said UA/UP corrode your modules.

does anyone know if the convoys with UP's spawn with the UP or if they GO somewhere to obtain them? (obviously the Feds know how to get them). Might be worth following an "empty" convoy to see if it goes somewhere to pick up a UP.

Ok, it was fun so far. I so hope that they don´t let us players become frustrated by implementing the "rest" of the stuff later.

My conclusion:

- the "Aliens" or "whatever species" sent us a message
- "they" are not aware of our speech, writings, numbers
- "they" use maths to communicate - which is pretty logic
- when they are able to provide clear pictures by sound, they should be considered "intelligent"
- when they are "intelligent", the picture should not lack some information - everything should be there in a perfect, yet to discover manner. No information is useless or should be ignored.
- I am frustrated

I with your chain of conclusions on this one iFred, it's been the same approach I've been using myself.
It has to be something that can be decoded from the message.
Something, not in human lingo, not related to KM, cleartext LAT or LONG, or other measuring methods we humans use.
It has be universal.

I'm 100% convinced that arithmetics is a key to understand how to read the rest.

Well, Jaques seemed pretty stressed out about the whole experience. Are there any particularly annoying or untalented pop-stars in Britain?

Reading about barnackles, UA and Up's now and then. It seems all centered around M5c. I read comments like it all points towards Merope and Merope 5 C. What if the search must be the opposide direction????
Instead of thinking it points to Merope, it points away from Merope towards their origing system? The Artifacts/probes arent exactly arrow shaped, so maybe people need to search away from this system.

So if an artifact or probe is found, select merope system and look for a system the opposide of the route Merope -> artifact/probe.

But... it's 3D space... so, how would that work? One end will always remain pointed at Merope while the other is relative to position.

hey, how is your baracle hunting going?

Besides some weird sounds I assume it are just glitches, and a beautiful region with stunning views, nothing really found till now.. But, I just started on my second planet. I surveyed the first for 8 hours, so.. Still far off.

But I am totally sure something is here at Barnards loop..

Dont do it. Kerrash is always too cryptic to be useful (or he would be smacked by FD), and always feels like someone waving 2 fingers at me cos he knows stuff I dont.
Always disheartening. I am sure that is not the desired effect, but it is the actual effect.

"there is an alien ship in the game currently as of 2.2, if you follow the tip offs" doesn't seem cryptic to me. seems actually quite straight forward. what makes you think its cryptic?

pepole what if we are not supposed to find an alien yet more like crashed farragut or a fed ship graveyard for hints abaut the alien treath

Absolutely. Although there are a couple of things we dont know:

- did (the guy at) frontier who "designed" this picture made a mistake? (designed by humans... we should not forget that we are playing a game here)
- is this message meant to reveal ALL information or is it just a puzzle-part?
