I am exploring Merope 5C on my own at the moment. As I am in Mobius group (I don't like to be shot for no reason), I was wondering if there are any others out there who would like some company? Also, as a general question, do most people explore in open, private, or groups?

i have been looking for a few hours now to get in but I can't.
If you face gal map so the core is behind barnards loop there is actually quite an obvious line of permit locked systems.
Im starting to think this is a cordon to keep us out or something in.

Now looking at the probe diagram I was looking at the area furthest from the bubble on the other side of the nebulae
and there is a small grouping of systems within the permit locked area almost exactly where the line is pointing if I line it up with the bubble. My train of thought is its a map to get to where we need to be to gain access behind the "security cordon" Call me crazy but I will keep pursuing this and I will let anyone know if I find anything.

I am also assuming this is hair brained but hey try anything right.​

access to barnard's loop can be had if you enter it from a direction pointing from the california nebula.

Has anyone used a DSS on a barnacle planet/moon, to see if it lists meta alloys as a material?? I'm halfway to jaques otherwise I'd check myself, and I've only just realised it now lists the materials. Would be handy for hunting for them

Ok I will look tomorrow this may still be a thing.
Maybe if I line the up drawing up with gal map with that in mind.
Have you been through recently I was originally trying to get to running man neb

I have but it doesn't specify meta alloys. So far the only strange element I noticed on a Merope 5c was Mercury.

I went through not that long ago. And the updated permit list doesn't include the systems you use getting into it. it's basically a straight shot between barnard and california if i recall.

Yeah please stop posting about the Rift. You're ruining the sanctity of all the unprovable, over complicated, unrealistic UA/UP theories posted on this thread. Wouldn't want to hinder the 30 pages a day of reposts, people saying the same theories, and bickering why their theory is the least illogical. Let's not engage in an active mystery like the one mentioned in the recent galnet. Why would we do that in a thread dedicated to UA, barnacles, and other mysteries.

I was out that way some time ago and lost all ability to jump more than one system at time for more 200 ly. Resetting modules didn't help. I lost all sensors too except for the ability to scan planets. Just a heads up.

In EAFOTS??? every system is within 30ly or less of eachother

Just a headsup if anyone is heading to the H&S Nebula / EAFOTS system; a well known...ahem...PvP'er has been spotted in the area. So take care if you are out there.
Nothing scientific to report...sorry.
Well, there was a report about someone spotting some ruins on Merope 5C, but it may just be very weathered ship wreck. Make your own conclusions based on this.
