No, I said "my first reaction" and "so far". I used words explicitly to give reactions on what I was seeing as I saw it. This is a multi-day event. The whole fun is speaking honestly as you see what's being delivered, being open to change as more data comes in. It's like saying you can't comment on a trailer without seeing the film. Of course you can, providing you are willing to adjust your opinion later. I wouldn't be so picky, but I made very clear markers that this wasn't a "2.2 is crap" post, but "from what I can see on the videos, this is how I'm feeling right now".

There's a lot of assumption that there's no flexibility on the changing the way content is delivered.

As much as people like to moan about anything and everything (not suggesting your post is) one thing you can say about FD is that they are not afraid to change things if they're not working just because they don't want to lose face. If there's a better way of doing something, then they'll try it.

Same time, if it means it gets done right rather than rushing milestones, it's better for all. Clearly Horizons was simply more complex in developing than they initially believed, is a pain for all, FDev included. Yeah October sucks, but at least it feels like it's a fair, professional milestone, not a rush job.

So far, the reveals are a pure demonstration of awesomeness. Lots of little useful improvements besides the big things. And we are at the beginning... I restrained my expectations, but now they really got me hyped. I am impressed.

Oh i have forgotten the TWO new "geological" artist made simplistic assets.. i mean 2!!! but you will never be satisfied of course... get that through your head... 2 assets man! how much work that must have been... and the quality of it all... haven`t seen such marvellous design in any game... for a second i thought those were all real photos

I'm totally happy for Frontier to be taking longer, because they are adding stuff I've desperately wanted to see since 2014, the absence of which has, in my opinion, hurt the coherence of the game world.

Some people seem to be not so thrilled, about the update schedule... If a decent, feature rich update takes a month longer, then take your time. More bang for the buck... I wouldnt dare to complain at all.
And it pretty much fits into my assumption, that we will see season 3 at the beginning of Frontiers new fiscal year in Q1/Q2. Good and understandable move.

The new hyperspace animation looks cool though ... Dare I say are we heading to a point where the hyperspace section actually looks like you are moving from one point in space to the next?
