To all you player groups UA bombing places like Robigo and Sothis...

First off, UA bombing is not griefing. Let's get that out of the way right up front. The effects the UAs have on stations and on ships systems are part of the "story" that FD are slowly telling us and we deal with it accordingly. It's not a mechanic that FD need to remove.

However, UA-bombing is an extraordinarily effective way of taking station services out of play. It is unbalanced, but then so are many other things in this universe we play in. Folks that want to play like jerks will keep on using all of those unbalanced things to be jerks.

Jerks. Yes, that's what they are. Act like an ass and you get called an ass. If you don't like that and don't want to see a jerk in the mirror each morning, don't play like one.

No, it's not griefing or anything that FD should take action against but it is antisocial, unpleasant behaviour and blatant attery. So, yeah, folks doing that do deserve the OPs "screw you"

If you're comfortable with being that kind of guy, then fill your boots, go for it. But DO own it, admit that you're being an ass and enjoying it. Accept the poor opinion that folks will have of you as a person, as well as a player, because you DO deserve it.

Whether you're involved in this or not, do you like the game? Congrats. You/whoever is participating in this has made the game LESS FUN for other people. This contributes to people leaving. If you want Frontier to keep creating new content for the game/the game to even keep existing...making the game LESS fun for others isn't going to accomplish that.

So whether you're helping UA bomb, or you're just a troll, congrats. You're a moron.
That should be frontier's concern, not his.
IF it is actually is causing them to lose customers, then they will make a change. But somehow, I really don't see too many people quitting the game over something like this.

I thought Jaques was already repaired with so many meta-alloys they are a lattice structure within the framework of the station? Maybe FDev are trolling UA mischief-makers by enticing them to travel 22kLYr for no effect? ;)

If players leave because they can't access some services in a couple of stations, they weren't that interested in playing to begin with.

Nope. Nope and more nope. Find other places to make money. These are our systems now. Mwhahahaha.

Thanks to silly CMDRs like you I made so much money the last few days that I finally reached my goal. THAAAAAAAAANK YOUUUUUUUU!

The fully A-rated (Bought-it-from-Ceos-money)-Corvette feels awesome.

Ceos and Sothis aren't the only places were you can get high paying missions. :)
It is where the lazy people go who can't be to find their own station/missions.
If you're that put off about it, go and find some meta alloys :D
That would take time away from his having fun. ;)

OP - People keep saying there is no depth to this game. Yet, time and time again people want the stuff that IS there be taken out. This is the depth you are looking for people. It's right in front of your eyes and you can't see it.

They're kinda saying this massive multi-player game would be great fun if it wasn't for all the players. (This is going in my sig block)

Once 2.2 drops, and we have crew members who earn a % of the profits we make, are you really going to deprive those crewmembers of their lively hood

Edmundo Maldonado might just be rated "Mostly Harmless" but he is a hard worker and risks death in the cold uncaring void of space, just to earn enough money to feed his wife and three kids.
His youngest, Maria Maldonado, is ill and needs weekly progenitor cells to stave of a wasting disease.

Why would you UA bomb Sothis and try to stop Edmundo earning enough credits to buy Maria her Progenitor cells?

Can you look him in the eyes and tell him, "NO" his daughter does not deserve to have her life saving medicines?

Anyone know if meta-alloys are a one-time perma-fix, or can stations go into a repeated flux of offline / repair / offline ad nauseum?

You're talking to someone who spent an entire year data mining for trade routs, grinding up to a tradeaconda the hard way. Stations outside the bubble with long distance missions pay vastly better for credit/hour than anything else. My home station loves me, but the contracts it offers don't come close.

But please, do, tell me I'm lazy. Go ahead.

But are S C & R the only stations outside the bubble?

Coming up with Ceos and Sothis after a year of datamining is a bit poor though.

There are a lot of other places to do long range smuggling. Spend 15 minutes with the galaxy map, looking just off the bubble.

When you use the internet to place big bright signs on the location to make the most cash then expect that everyone can see those signs and will try to have a bit of mischief.

When you find things yourself, well, then you found it and no one will bother you.

Compared to WHAT? The long haul stations are vastly more profitable than the best trade routes I could find, even with a tradeaconda. Since the last update missions can give more money, but still most stations don't compare to the long haul ones, which is why people like them.

You know what is an exploit though - stacking missions by game logging to Open, Solo, Private - in order to get the missions you WANT - that SURE IS AN EXPLOIT.

So booo frickin hoo - your exploit got a wrench thrown in.

The fact that you imagine everybody is logging to cherry-pick multiple missions says a great deal more about you than the players whose gameplay you're casting aspersions on.

It's not easy. It's incredibly dull lol

And yet you spend your time doing it just to troll other players. The long winter evenings must fly by in your house.

I'm tired of people giving this answer. Yes, I've been to them. There's a reason certain locations are more popular, they tend to give better missions.

Of course...take the slight cut in profits and use the others until the UA stuff clears up.

Why is it necessary to always be making max profit?

EDIT: Also, by getting upset and getting all ranty on the forum, you have effectively given the UA bombers exactly what they wanted out of the bombing. Congrats.

By such a magnitude all this drama is warranted?
What does "tend to" mean
By what % by How many millions of CR an hour better are they than anywhere else you would rather stick with them and call for the devs to change the game so you don't have to adapt to the game changing situation.

If the system didn't have those missions due to it being in bust or civil unrest or lockdown, would you still refuse to change your "only one way to play in only one place" and demand the Devs change the BGS so that those factions never not offer only the bestest most payingist missions?
