There is the "cobra arriving at 21:00". We were told to find the bounty hunter and that *should* be the cobra. So hopefully it's 21:00 in Apademak.

Casually, there was a wrecked Cobra in the hinting video ;)

I suspect we're gonna find that scene soon....

yeah, truth is the key. truth will set ye free etc.

BUT.. that isn't the whole key. the key repeats as you go through the message, so at "someone" and "apademak" it decodes, but the other bits it doesn't. So TRUTH isn't the whole key. We need to know what is.

I've tried TRUTHSEEKER, TRUTHISOUTTHERE, TRUTHATLAST and about 50 other combos. none of them work. So.. um...

Wasn't "truth" mentioned in one of the decoded binaries from the game convention videos? Maybe you need to use a whole sentence. Somewhere in this thread, someone had put all the decoded messages from the videos together. Maybe they have been used as a pad (or part of them). Maybe, try "The truth"?

I've been watching in amazement at all you boffins deciphering everything whilst I make cheap jokes about first contact. This should be a fun hunt tomorrow!

Hi All

I flew out to Merope for the first time on thursday night 25/08/2016 visited the Farragut Battle Cruiser then went to Merope 5C & visited the Barnacle site at -026.3496 -156.4044.
After flying about for an hour I eventually located the site got in my SRV & found the spikes to be destroyed.
I have no idea how quickly the spike respawn so waited for an hour then logged off about 23:00 GMT
I logged back in on friday 26/08/2016 at 18:00 GMT & the site & spikes were still destroyed.
How quickly do the spikes respawn at a site?

I flew over to Maia & bought some meta alloys for the engineers & CEOS - new Dawn station as it has been UA bombed.

I saw your http://canonn.science/2016/05/29/barnacle-status-update-29-may-3302/ post & thought you should know this barnacle location is currently destroyed.

Why "Damn you Frontier"? Why would you damn the devs just because you were planning to prepare a Python for tomorrows hunt? Im preparing an Anaconda, does that mean i should damn the developers too?

i'm flying around in my weapon-less Asp. Prepare lmao :D. Whatever happens, you won't be prepared, no matter how much you prepare, so just go with the flow

yeah this is GREAT! i literally went from - ahh this game is grindy and i might just bail, to wow i actually could figure out some of the clue and GET this part of the game. I like this part of the game more than "the game"....if that makes sense...

Good job solving Alpha everyone! It was the only one unsolved when I went to bed last night. So it seems to have been the most difficult one. This puzzle was a blast. It was a lot of fun chasing down the riddles and hopping station to station getting more things for people to decode last night. Showed how great the teamwork can be as a few of us looked for the riddles while others decoded the other message. We need more of this!

I'd guess that cobra is our target. Whether its Granger or Dillon might not make a difference. We will probably see both of them in the system and can determine ship at that point. Either way, I'm going to assume none of this starts until 21:00 server time on the 28th. Since thats what they keep telling us.. But. You know.. They made it seem like these clues weren't going to be in game until the 28th either.

Ever since upgrading my FSD, I keep guns on my Asp now. :) I'll sacrifice the few extra LY just to be a little more defended. Not that an Asp is going to do much in combat against whatever we come up against.
