I know it sucks to not have been directly part of it but these puzzles are always aimed at the community as a whole, never for individuals to all have the same, unique experience. It's more about that it happens than everyone crowding around to watch it.

Having said that, I know how you feel. I never seem to be anywhere near these people in these moments either lol

I gave up trying to be there in the action months ago - synchronising time on the computer with events in-game, whilst keeping Lady Z happy has proven far too difficult!

I do enjoy living vicariously through this thread when I have to though.

But you're right - the best way to think of all this is a single player mission where the 'player' is the entire community. If you're not there, the community still is, and the success of any of these things relies on that.

Best not to get too disappointed at not being there and get the popcorn and beer/wine/whisky... and biscuits obviously.

Also a whole bunch of people in open at Cali, no sightings, CMDRs generally being sceptical.

I'm wondering, maybe a reading of every clue is required to trigger something?

I visited every station, I did not read all clues.

given theres actually no verification yet, ill ignore the chinesse whispers for now

Given that I saw it myself, the name is correct, it's a *Novice* driving a T-9, and that it's the same name as reported on X-Box and by others, I think I'll ignore the cynical accusations of falsehood.

Please stop stating things are false in such a definite manner when you don't know, as it confuses people following the thread.

That and to keep control of a player account in a mode that anyone can enter open is probably the only option. Not sure how this is working for PC and Xbox though... have both said they have seem him?

Yeah both have claimed to see him, but if you have two people in the office instead of one then there's not much difference. Wonder who gets to play these characters?

It shows up as a hollow dot, so either it's human-controlled or an interesting fake of a sort we haven't seen before.
Considering Mr Kohl seemed to mispaste part of his message once, I think it probably is human-controlled...

Which only makes it more relevant that we should get on and give the man his narcotics, because if I'm right he's effectively working on a Sunday to do this :p

I know right, get this man some uppers/downers/whatever they have in the future. I'd hate for us to fluff this because it doesn't meet our expectations :(. Will this take a lot of druge do we think, is it worth fetching a big ship when I get home?

the point is, pour all your time for a week working out codes and such. spend 12 hours in Cail, getting interdicted by every freak who thinks this is Call Of Space Duty, then at the time and place it's supposed to happen it doesn't cos you don't live next door to the Frontier Employee who is NPCing the next part. Its stupid, anticlimactic and insulting.

IF that's what's actually happening.

I'd suggest keeping your powder dry for now, plenty of time to fire the cannons of fury later if it turns out to be the case. Events are clearly moving quickly.

The only problem i have(If this turns out to be real) is that Open can be tricky for people with instance problems, I couldnt care if one guy trys to interdict me but it could take some of us a while to "See" him, not that everyone of us have to have the message....But its a bit hard to belive anyone when hardly anyone has encountered him yet!

This has become my life more and more of late. I get in when I can but spending time with my girlfriend will always trump Elite. She actually loves Elite from a screenshots/'The wonder of space' perspective but not enough to play haha

Lets get verification before we start confusing is my polite counter at this point. So until we have other sources lets not goign around stating things as fact just yet.

That yet we still have apadamke at 2100 and we are supposedly looking for a M class star ( with no planetary bodies in system) so a m9 or m0 on its own is the best bet forward

Indeed, given that I'm already a latecomer to this due to not realising it was going to kick off yesterday I'm currently drinking a pint of blackcurrant, strawberry and blueberry smoothie and contemplating a Marlboro whilst adopting a zen approach to the whole thing.
