No, its not. Ingame time currently = 13:49, my time (GMT+1, amsterdam) 15:49, GMT = 14:49. U see?

Why would I care what they do? Why does that have any bearing on my fun? Why are you wasting time fantasising about these people? Don't give it a second thought. I don't care if they are fat and in their mom's basement, or bored multi-billionaires, tbh.
Big deal: I lose a collection of pixels, which I replace with no real personal impact on myself, respawning instantly at a station thirty seconds away. I have literally stood up and gone to make a cup of tea *while* gunned down to PKs in other games, because I cared so little. It only sucks if you give two ****s about these people, and I don't!
Maybe I would care slightly if I had exploration data, or an expensive rebuy, but in this case we are not going to lose anything more than a couple of minutes of time.

Perhaps, but accurate recording of time is essential to much of science.
Yeah, it could do with being a bit more timely, widespread and judicious. I know it's a trigger happy world we play in but how many folk do you have to smoke before the auth's say "no more rounds for you"? Worse gun control ever lol. Knowing there was a pretty long piracy cooldown on repairs that extended out several systems would probably make more players fight back rather than log too as if a few players go down to drive the pirates of for an 30 mins or so that's kind of worth it, then both sides get a decent scrap so it's not punishing pvp too much and solo soft skins feel less out in the cold.
I don't mind pvp personally (Except that time my controlls failed and some punks wasted me while I was trying to get my hotas to even register lol). I kind of like the danger and the excitement even though I'm not that good at it.
Anyway back on topic.
What are the odds we have to turn in explo data for the explorer, will this thread loose it's mind?

It happens in 10 min. German summer time means +1 for time difference and +1 for switching from winter to summer time which is like now.

NO! You are CEST, which is GMT+2 because of the daylight savings stuff!
Edit: Why the confusion? Obviously there is no daylight savings stuff in the Elite universe.

You keep poking the sleeping bear it might wake up, pve players can interdict pvp players all day long and run away without offering a fight - I for one have never fought a fair fight in my life and dont intend to start now.

Well as said previously you may not care but i do as do a lot of fellow pilots in the community. we are not here to pvp. we do not want to be forced into a gameplay style where we have to deal with pvp'r. it isnt fair, the fact that fdev are having to create CG's for this to go smooth proves that at HQ all is not well. Next time i suggest the clues and the puzzles which the geeks like me love to do stay separate from the pvp, fighting, politics in ANY event.

Update: It's HIP 20586, by the way. Ok so after flying around for several hours checking every USS with no results, I finally realized I hadn't actually Disco-scanned the system (yes, I AM that idiot). When I did, I got a new message leading me to HIP 20586 AB 1 B, a rocky world. When I try to land, I get a "Body Exclusion Zone Hit" message. Any ideas?
No UTC=GMT except GMT is a timezone whereas UTC is 'standardised time'.
This is exactly why i said we should use UTC as the terminology because many people think UK time is GMT when it isn't. it's only GMT for 6 months of the year, for the other 6 months it's BST.
