I've been reading white Cobra in lots of places, but I've never seen any clues/info that says that the Cobra is white.

How do we know this?

We don't know for sure, but we were shown a white Cobra being in a wreckage in David Braben's interviews at gamescom so it might very well be that exact Cobra.

Yes, we know it's an icy body.
I'd not put that much effort in it in fact.
Anyway Dillon could be lying about it, and it was icy and not rocky. But it's far too stretched.
I say we should wait until after this Cobra shows up at 21:00, coalate all the clues we've been given and then go through a process of elimination based on the results of what would happen if each person was lying, if that makes any sense at all? It did in my mind haha

Ok, given that all 3 known location under McMullen Vision don't show any signs of bribing Dillon, have no trigger for an emergency cg and don't really seem to have any effect..except for some nice $ selling tobacco.. would that help us getting another step in the logic puzzle by declaring Dillon the liar and dismissing all further information/clues given by - rocky planet, latitude and all? Or was there anything that's true in what he said?? Bit shaky theory with all the technical issues, darn shame, but.. yeah, gotta start somewhere.

edit: just to clarify, i've been to all 3 locations with a load of tobacco.

You guys do realize you are not going to get some huge Close Encounters of the Third Kind reveal. With some huge alien cruiser looming over an asteroid field or something...

It it makes sense to me, as that's my plan currently. I'm just resting up in Apademak waiting for my clock to hit 21:00 while reading a book and checking into this thread.

I'd join in but my PC is pretty much dying. I'm sitting here refreshing the thread and reading Drew Wagar's book after it just came through the post this morning. :D

Well, obviously.

But there's something that's going to be uncovered here - very possibly something that FD thought there was a chance of us finding before now but, since it hasn't been, they're doing a hunt for kt.

What they're trying to do is actually quite ambitious, even if it seems really simple for us sitting on this side of the fence.

Well maybe longitude comes at 21:00, or I dunno, maybe logitude *is* 21.00.

edit: no, no disconnects here

I'm pretty sure the last clue of the day is required to figure out the target system. Nobody would provide a hint hunting game in which the solution can be narrowed down to a small number of possibilities before deemed ok by the mastermind.
The seeming frustration expressed by one of the contacts saying "grangers and his <silly games?>" (forgot exact wording), does show that said contact is aware about the entire length, scope and frustration of granger's big hunt plan.

Lots of god's of war names being thrown around. Might be worth considering. Also, we have a trader an explorer and a bounty hunter, let's think how this story is unraveling, might help with the clues. These guys found something amazing, and are sending us to all these god's named planets on a route to the truth. This could be a big reveal that has more to do with the forthcoming war between the empire and the federation. Or not, but I guess these guys might be hinting at something with the coordinates we are going to. Even if it only helps find them faster.

0.0 34.0 on landable planet in Tic Rok is empty too. Seems this is not the planet we were looking for. What other planets could it be? As of now we know it's a system with an M Class star and at least 1 rocky body (going to assume only the star type is wrong, since assuming otherwise has lead me nowhere)

maybe we could list all the planets that fit and are in related systems?

It's the one thing they do well LOL
Is that needed?
Yes elite has flaws
Yes in many ways its going against the ideas of the franchise
Yes they screw up dates on GalNet time and time again
Yes they often make errors and massive screw ups

But they also have
The best sound team
The best alien plot (so far , could go south)
One of the best flight models
The best rendition of our galaxy

Its easy to look at the screw ups and think only of those and just ignore all the good things they do.

Probably not, but it'd be silly to put all these hunts and riddles and mysteries everywhere in the galaxy if they didn't amount to anything until October when FDev decided to flip the switch on something, this could lead up to clues of what is happening and when specifically, otherwise the communities input has no weight whatsoever, which is a stupid thought for a sandbox game that's supposed to be shaped based on what the community does.
