So you want to know about the Formidine Rift? (Part 3)

I don't usually see images in nebulae, but when I do...

Well, I didn't change any hardware or drivers. Besides, as far as i can tell it doesn't look for me like hardware or driver error.

Was it during charging the hyperdrive? If this phenomena was observed by more commanders, maybe we will be able to find more about it.
Until now, i was unable to reproduce it. It has happened in DRYAEA AIRG UB-S B45-0. It's class M star with 9 other bodies (2 rocky-ice and 7 ice worlds, all with atmosphere), nothing there which could emit such kind of light.

Yes me but I was thinking it was my new and drivers for my r9290x that I had installed recently

I am trying to psyche myself up for returning, but after Drews last comments I am beginning to think this search is for a galactic anomaly, as in a system/group of systems that don't look normal, my ability to get motivated is limited. I was hoping for something definitive, not something so subjective. Not sure it is worth the effort to fly out there for 3 hours to find a system with not 1 but 2 blackholes in it, doesn't stand back in amazement. Will keep drinking the coffee and hope I can motivate myself for a return.

Anyone from CoR here, that can give us an update on how you are handling the Salome situation?

Putting pressure on the Cemiess government and all that.

There is something in the rift. Bright blue light during jump sequence. Never seen it before.
Not seen that before, Video?

BD+28 4211 has 2 black holes....
and HIP 63835 has 3 black holes

We have a series of events scheduled for the coming days and weeks (depending on how the main story unfolds) - We're waiting for some Galnet articles to be given the green light and published first though.

I'm sorry i didn't make video. It came quite unexpected. But I took two pictures, on one of them you can see my cockpit lit by this bright light. If anybody encounters this, please post when it happened and in which system.

For those not following the Canonn's UA/Barnacle/UP thread ... it looks like the first Thargoid ship has been spotted in-game:

Okay ... I said it is Thargoid but obviously that is unconfirmed at this time. Still: Thargoid ships are octagonal and the remains of this thing appears to have a pattern of eight around what I am assuming to be the 'core' of the ship. Thargoid ships are also supposed to be bio-engineered and this thing definitely looks like it possesses biological properties.

I had something similar I'll dig through my screen caps and my logs to find it, I assumed it was a graphical glitch and didn't pay much mind other than taking a screen shot for reference and moving along.

Ok, I haven't seen this mentioned yet, but I've been flying more than on the forums.

So the crashed alien ship is pointing straight towards the Pleiades nebula. Straight back from Pleiades Sector AB-W B2-4 and the Pleiades nebula is the Heart and Soul nebula and the eafots sector. Coincidence? Already discussed somewhere else?

Edit: Got too excited... Map skills are trash... Pleiades nebula and the crashed ship system do not line up at all. Where's the delete button?

It has been mentioned, plus the locked Bovomit sector is just beyond that. Somebody lives out there and it ain't us ;)

I also take back what I said earlier that it is obviously a very large Thargoid ship.

I am now swinging wildly towards the deformed chinese lantern theory, as there are loads of wedding barges round there :p

Back to serious again. I just checked the map and drawing a line from Maia through the crash site planet and on, takes you straight past Heart and Soul and into the heart of the Rift. Judging from the side the crash is on, the craft was coming that direction.

This seems to further the info that the Rift is indeed implicated in all this.

Is Bovomit the Thargoid home? Or, was that ship running from there?

Hi everyone,

i am quite new here, but i plan to work on the formiddine mystery as soon as i finish my current self assigned task (getting the Terra MAter permit - nothing to do with Formidine as far as i know but i like permits).

I was reading the paper by Matzov, and the comments by Drew Wagar.

I don't know if this has been stated but :
the Cerberus plague originated from HART (almost heart / Cor in latin) station, in BAST system (short name of Bastet, an Egyptian goddess of war, who, later in the history of egypt, was merged with Sekhmet, who in turn appears to have been both a war goddess and a HEALING goddess )

AND ALSO : the only planet in this system is a terraformed planet...

it is approximately 37 A.L from RR Line (in case it can be relevant)

It can be just reference-playing, but at least i think it gives even more credit to the "terraformed planet are linked to that mystery" theory.

Can someone with a very large jump range help me with a theory?

One of the hints Drew gave is that we need to find the "core" of the problem. What if that's a play on words, and we're looking for EAFOTS CO-R ??? systems. Quickly plotting them it seems there are 4 or 5 systems that match that description, including one extremely high on the galactic plane (where the stars would be far apart, EAFOTS CO-R c5-0).

I'm currently plotting a route to the others, but I don't think I'll be able to reach that high one without farming a lot of jumponium first.
