Only thing we know about Thargoids that they are flying octagonal ships.

This is very close to being octagonal yet alien if you ask me.

What if those "wings" actually protect the core? We couldn't see the core of the ship in the reveal, so those could be something like an X or V shaped shell and the core could be the "escape pod" or the "commanding bridge" of the ship...

Its like there is the main pod which can move around with thrust from the center and arm like appendages off of it. You can see half of an "arm" still attached to the main pod. Very similar design to the UA/UP/Barnacles and just as ambiguous... great designing FD

Good question, the textures of the 'thargoid saucer' and the 'crab legs' don't seem to be quite the same palette.

Jupp. Two different designs.

The regular Thargoid warship in the middle is practically intact. The other one is in bits all over the place.
