It appears to be a ship of alien origin, no further discoveries have been made at this point in time, it doesn't appear to respond in a meaningful way to Unknown Probes or Unknown Artifacts but there's people sciencing the hell out of it as we speak.

Rubbish cut and paste, but the big blade / leaf thing in the foreground (here on the right) looks like the rotating part in the video, it looks like it has a similar profile. In video 4 you can judge relative sizes too (as an intact Cobra is floating dead) and the size of the crashed ship look the same (i.e. big).

I would only say the DBOBE alien reveal ship has a lot more of these broad rotating bits than we can see crashed here though.

Start getting ready, stocking up money and upgrading your ships. 100% this is Thargoids and last time they were around they almost wiped us out. This time I doubt that a virus will stop them. They are coming for a fight and the only thing we should be doing at this point is getting ready. That is a scout ship. This is a very very bad find. And no, the Alliance never made peace with the Thargoids in ED history.

Peace is not an option.

Consider this. Human designs have stagnated for centuries, at least stylewise. 3125s Cobra Mk3 is the same as 3300s one, only with newer components, but thats expected due to the technological progress. Viper looks the same. In fact, almost evvery ship that wasnt phased out looks very similar. Between 3125 and 3250 , Thargoid vessels were virtually unchanged. This design is so different to the old one, that I can see only two options. Either we have at least two factions of Thargoids (similar to how Feds and Imps design style is vastly different) or this belongs to the entirely different race. First one is more probable, the second one is way more awesome.

Yeah, I'm going to move to Solo to get some better screenies, because I can barely make the thing out through the hail of weapons fire and Novice-piloted Condas [I don't even know..] trying to teabag it.

Yes, there was even too much "you can check the files for yourself for proof it is XYZ" talk on that twitch stream for my liking
