.2 Crashed......Shot down.....bad piloting......malfunction.....hmmmmm

.4 Part of a larger ship that's been shot off in a battle.....hmmmmm
.5 An Alien Walnut Whip........NA
.6 Something human made that we haven't been shown yet......hmmmm

Well if it was heading to merope.. IF... then its origin would of been near california nebula.. something which a lot of people have discussed already following the gamecon thing..

But everything aside i wish they had spent more time on the artwork.. it looks like its been enlarged to the point of gfx tearing.. and this is with everything at ultra
Sorry to break everyone's immersion...they look like they have tweaked the design, same as they did with the FDL, which looks nothing like the original 1984 version.
This, however, has all the elements of a thargoid ship, with a very organic vibe.
As it is supposed to be alien, it goes without saying that you wouldn't recognise drives or anything else.
As David Braben would say "this is all very exciting! "
I believe its a cross breed a Conflux of Thargoid and Human with other stuff thrown in for good measure.

Federation Capital Ships in Merope with comms chatter about searching for an unknown ship. If it's the same ship (and it's a hell of a coincidence if not) then can we assume it passed through Merope before crashing?
The other possibility is that this ship was taken down by the mystery ship sighted in Merope, but unless we get confirmation one way or the other on the origin of this ship and whether there are multiple alien species, that might be stretching things a bit.
Now we have to wait for the story to catch up with the research now CMR's, after the CG's finish then I suspect there will be another clue maybe. Or maybe by tonight we will have some more data from UA's at the crash site by then, exciting times ahead. I wonder if the UA can be ''interfaced'' with the ''eye'' on the ship.

totally. the stars and landscape don't match the image we were given. i'd try the other side of the moon-ish *speculation*Could be more on the Moon. Kerrash "speculated" a little bit.
Perhaps some kind of symbiotic species that evolved alongside Thargoids.
Hi I scanned the data point at the crash site and it has given me a package for the empire do I need to do this or has someone already cracked the data cheers

I landed there at ~12:42 in-game time, but I was lucky and not even 2k ls away from the planet when it got posted.
