Well obviously if this is true for you it is good right?

It is true for me and was mentioned as a comment on Lave radio so I thought I would create a cheesy poll and see what others think.

Edit: And discuss, otherwise the poll drowns.

Surely polls should bump on a vote and not just comments...

Listen to end of (1hr 45min onwards)

By the way thumbs up to Lave Radio, great stuff, each week it is great to listen !

not for myself personally...im at the stage where I have done most stuff and earned enough to never work in game ect...I been dreaming and waiting to walk around for over a year now....

so for me no...the content is slow as hell, and what has been released is basic stuff apart from horizons...

I want to see the world be alive with npc walking around....more voices put to faces and some missions ect...and npc.

I can honestly say for myself the only expansion I got excited for was horizons...

Jason if you are happy with the content, then good for you bud...as long as ones self is happy that is all that matters imo.

Odd question... Lol

My answer is both yes and no.

I've experienced nearly all the content, except for Arena, and PowerPlay.
Which i will likely never touch.

But, I still keep finding new stuff to mess with, Engineer combos, outfitting options, odd planets, etc.

Basically, I'm still exploring the content we already have.

FYI, been playing since 1.4

You know, we are *never* going to get persistent NPC's, in space, after that debacle on the 28th of August. Sadly, it seems the only way some people can interact with people is by shooting and killing them.....which is truly sad.

Any given player's ability to keep up with new game play is a function of when they started and how many hrs/day they can play.

Did all Engineers to G5 and have my fleet modded to the point that I'm taking some time to go on an exploration run.

But I started in Premium beta 2 yrs ago and I'm retired.

Don't worry, by the time you're 65, you'll be able to keep up...

Unless you give them super powerfull shields that can't be penetrated by anything.

For me that is 19 years away and it would be cool if the game was still going by then, but I guess they release so much stuff by then that I would need to be 1079 years old to fully feel I have consumed it.

For me, yes. There are still things I've yet to touch in Elite/Horizons, even after playing 15 months now.

I started play in late v1.2, and the biggest releases for my interests have been 2.0 (the SRV and planets are some of the best stuff I've played), 2.1 made loads of things even better. I'm quite looking foward to 2.2, both the passenger play and adding a fighter and crew to my Type-9 miner.

Also it sometimes feels like there is quite a lot going on in the Galaxy, between my own daily play, Community Goals that might interest me, and the mysteries around Merope.

But I have no complaint. There is no lack of things to catch my attention and do, for me, so far.

Due to the leisurely pace at which I play the game-& because I am not a grinder by nature-I have definitely mostly just scraped the surface of what is already in the game. I want to give Power Play another shot, but will wait until they meaningfully connect the status of the powers to the BGS and faction status, so as to give us additional paths towards helping our pledged Power.

I have only gained an invite from 4 of the Engineers, and am only at rank 2 with 3 of them, so only barely scraped the surface there. I do hope to see further improvements to the Engineers over the next 3 updates.

I am still utterly blown away by landing on planets, & am most looking forward to realistic geology on the planets we can land on.

Voted yes. But I'm in deep exploration and my route will have me back in the bubble around season 4's time. I haven't been near human space since 2.1 at least.

No, the pace is right but I hope to be able to walk and explore my ships and stations very soon cause it's the main reason why I bought the game at the beginning, I want to be able to board ships, go around in my ship with friends, maybe let my friends handle turrets while I fly, go for EVA and planetside walk, pvp and hunting, all stuff they promised to release soon or later so I'm still hopeful they will release those features which for me would make the game much better, Star Citizen has that already but it lacks of realism and planets are really small, I want a Elite Dangerous to do atmospheric flight planet environments much better than SC, as for how they make the shooter, I'm confident they will do it better than than SC simply cause FD is more focused on scientifically correctness than anything else

I too heard that on Lave Radio and had some sympathy with it.

I've voted Yes, although it's actually close, but it's certainly not a definite No.

For example, with engineers, I expect it'll be a good 6 months before I've explored Engineers to my hearts content. I'm not a grinder so I'm doing loads of other things in ED with an occasional visit to an Engineer thrown in. I've upgrade the FSD and Power Plant on my Python and done some dirty drive tweaks on an Imperial Courier. In time I'd like to do more and also tune up some of my weapons. I'd also like to expand my network of engineers and, over time, "catch 'em all" (sorry).

By the time I've done that 2.2 will be out and no doubt some of my long term Engineer goals will get buried under a pile of new Tourism and Crew goals.

I've already got a TODO list a mile long (I've just realised I haven't even touched ice mining yet). This is fine. But if they released content any faster I think I would start to feel really frustrated that I was falling behind.

So Yes, in some ways they are releasing content faster than I can keep up.

But in fact ... it feels just about right to me at the moment. Take your time and make 2.2 really good FD! I've still got plenty to do.

Generally speaking, yes, FD are adding content faster than i can consume it. There are things i still want to do in game that i haven't really had a chance to do since the game was launched. And this is from someone who plays almost every day for at least an hour or two.

Engineers has just added a load of extra time i need to do stuff (putting arguments aside about whether putting things behind grind walls are a good idea or not - it is what it is).

Interesting ... more than 50% of the comments say Yes, while 75% of the votes say No. Perhaps the No's treat the game like they treat this thread - click, consume and move on!

:p

Sorry, I'm teasing slightly.

Like with every online multiplayer game I've ever played it takes far less time to devour the content than it does to create more.

Certainly more than I can keep up with. I took a nice break, left my Asp floating 18k from home, and forgot all about it. Engineers came out while I was on break, major mission changes, rank grind changes... Lots of stuff. I'm getting back in and finding all sorts cool little tweaks to the gameplay that I like; USS changes for instance. I used to hate USS but now you get some context that seems like they're somewhat redeemable. Missions are more fun now for certain. Rank grind feels less like a grind somehow, probably because trying to stack 100 missions was just never going to be fun. I expect the beta for 2.2 to drop before I've really even explored engineers content. So yeah, they're pumping it out pretty fast. I think it also helped that I didn't jump right into engineers when it was released as my understanding is it was rough in the beginning with materials impossible to get. I get so many materials now as mission rewards and just from hanging around nav beacons that it's hard to imagine gathering what I need to be as hard as it used to be described.

So what?

Every one has already done all the engineers stuff ? I certainly have yet to do that.

ah i guess when i answered the poll I put my own spin on it.. if you consider maxing all the engineers out then you are right, i cant keep up.. but then that would be as crazy as asking me if i have visited every system in the game yet :D

the question for me isnt have I exhausted everything in the game yet..... it is has i exhausted everything I find interesting in the game yet. ;)

(to which the answer is also no I haven’t.... but that does not mean I am not itching for more so as not to burn out on hammering the content i do enjoy)

I dabble with the engineers but every time i have that spinning wheel of ramdomness thrown in my face i die a little inside and move away.. all my ships are still 100% stock.
