I did it! The 2000 MJ Python

Original Loadout here (Pre-modded of course). Shield is non-prismatic.

Nice job.
What roles do you use it for? See it still has a nice cargo loadout.

I looked at your Coriollis load out and you realize that if you place your cargo hatch on priority level 2 and drop your power plant to a A6 you'll not only still have enough power but also pick up jump distance as well?
Also since you're not doing primarily trading with this setup (dictor module and fuel scoop) you could drop the A6 cargo module for a A5? Just saying ..

Example

Role I use it for is Jack of All Trades. Mainly combat, but trading as well.

Shields are Reinforced (Grade 5)
Shield Boosters are Heavy Duty (Grade 5)
Power Plant is Efficient for Heat (Grade 2)
Hull is Lightweight (Grade 3)
MC are Overcharged (grade 5)
Pulses are Efficient (Grade 4)
Thrusters are Dirty (Grade 5)
Power Distributor is Charge Enhanced (Grade 5)
FSD is Increase Range (Grade 5)

Ships can destroy Elite Anaconda NPC (I mostly PVE) with just one ring drop in the shield. Can usually hold its own again small to moderate ship size wings. Can survive in Combat Zone relatively well using the Perimeter tactic. Usually can survive for a few minutes even against 3-4 NPCs in Combat Zone. Bounty hunting with ease.

Trade wise, can do Sothis run and still make anywhere between 15-40 million depending how picky you are with missions. Good for ranking Data Delivery missions as well. I leveled up 2 level to Duke and then to Rear Admiral using this ship alone.

Great build!

Mine's pretty similar, 1600mj shields.

g5 Python is just perfect fit for current game.

Nice work.

Thanks!

Thanks! Are you using Resistance Augmented Boosters instead of Heavy duty?

They are all heavy duty, but I can't remember if/what I did or didn't do with the shield gen, or if it's a 6A or a Bi-weave.

I'm currently about 15kly from Beagle point, so I can't check for about another week or two, but you obviously got some really nice max rolls on your mods.

I have many ships, so I seldom re-roll as I just mod another ship when I get the materials. Once module storage makes swapping easier, I might look into finding boosters that got better rolls that are currently on other ships, but as it is, it's totally awesome.

I'm curious what your roll was for the %boost on the Dirty Drives, I think my boost speed is about 415, and I'd like to get that higher if I can.

I think I have military grade armor, probably slowing me down a bit.

You have a really great build, don't ever give that one up

This is the roll stats on the Dirty Drive. I got an extra 2ndary effect to boost that Optimal Multiplier to 35%. That was literally around 30 something tries honestly...I find that Lightweight Armor helps a lot for the Military Grade composite.

Thx,

I'll be taking another look in about 80k ly

My best Dirty drive roll was on my Cutter at a little over 38% for 491m/s - I'm not usually that lucky.

I have 3 rolls in the bank, but probably will need one for a Beluga.

Where you finding Cracked IF?

Wow! grats!
That must have taken some time, to get all those uber rolls!
I have no number on how many tries I have done with each, but it's more than what is healthy for you!
I have prismatics, and I am still just below 2000MJ. And my dirty drives seem to have too much dirt in them now! They are only 29,8%! Gad.

It is heartwarming to see others investing in their Pythons! Thank you for this!
(...no yall excuse me, I have to collect more materials and revisit all the engineers....)

Thanks! Glad to see another Python fan! Are you using lightweight armor? I find reducing the mass helps a lot increasing shield strength and speed. I do reroll cycles after I get enough materials so the stats slowly improved. I did have to farm Cracked Industrial Firmware for the dirty drives. I think that was the worse part...all those raids.

Nice job!

My Python is pretty similar, and I use it in a similar way (other than Sothis runs :) ). I went with Bi-Weaves, thermal resistance mod, and resistance-enhanced boosters instead of HD. So my MJ amount is technically less, but in effect it's much stronger than it reads, because of the resistances. It works very well for me.

Other than that, my mods are almost the same as yours.

It's a lot of fun tweaking up your ship with Engineers stuff, once you get past the gathering bits. And the Python really starts to shine when properly modded.

Fly safe!

Are these values had by doing just level-five-rolls at the RNGineer?

Yes. But what I did was basically reroll when I have a bunch of materials build up. Then keeping the better rolls. So the components gradually improved over time.

I'll have to try the Bi-Weave route with the resistance boosters whenever Module Storage gets around. The Resitance boosters does not work as well when I integrated into the current build. I think it is due to the fact that NPC varies their weaponry and doesn't focus too much on thermals.

why do people try to max MJ, it's so inefficient [???]

You survive impacts better with a high cap versus high resistance. My iCourier is resistance based for an effective 1k shielding against thermals, kinetics, and explosives. Still get smeared across the stars when I get rammed. My Cutter has both actually (3x resistance, 3x heavy duty on a reinforced shield), and has a hilarious effective shield rating while being very resistant to ramming.

That said, thermal resist biweave + resistance boosters is good for ships with a mediocre base shield strength.

i also run resist courier, my EHP is 3.4k with 6.9k with 4 pips to shields and my weight dmg is 3k with 7k with 4 pips to shield

with the shield calculator, the EHP is lowered to 2.4k with 5.8k 4pips, with the dmg weight being 2.6k and 6.4k wigh 4 pips.

also it's much easier to just not ram in a courier, youre more resistant to true dmg because MJ boosters weigh heavier..
