Guess I have to be patient a little longer
I was within the first hour of ordering for the DK2. - On a personal note, I will be moving at the beginning of July and sent them a letter asking for a shipping delay as I was afraid that I would not be reachable before July 10th.
The reply I received indicated that there would be little likelihood of issues as they fully expected that international orders will take somewhat longer to reach their destinations.
Long story short, it looks like international orders won't start getting stuff until mid July.
The above are based on an email exchange with Occulus VR and my interpretation of the response. YMMV
I already got told I'm in the August delivery group...
...and that the DK costs me a wooping 500$ (because of taxes), but yea, what the hell.

Thanks for sharing that, I had been wondering what was going on. Hopefully it will make it for my mid-July birthday to make it the best birthday pressie ever!
On a side note, I am wondering how many of the DK2's ordered are actually going to Devs? I imagine most of them will be going to deep pocketed gamers who want a fast track to the future

Hey Mike, just a quick question. Can you give us any ETA of which build you guys think you will have some of the Oculus fixes implemented in, like the headbop slider or the galaxy map ? - Just a reminder that there is a bottle of Sailor Jerry's in it for you ;P

Haha, I wondered the same... by the time CV will be ready to be sent out, so many end customers will have gotten the DK2, that OVR will have to offer trade ins to even get them on the market.

I hope they fix it right before I receive my dk2.
I played the Alpha combat sims with the OR DK1 and it does look good... only thing was that the HUD GUI sights were too close to my eyes, making it hard for me to focus outside the ship.
I've yet to try in PB, hopefully its better...

How did you find out that you're in the August delivery?
I ordered my Dk2 in the 1st few hours of their store opening...and I've not heard anything.
Edit...just checked my order and it was $462 exactly. I lied above when I said we paid more than $500.

They straight up told me in the pre-order summary... I guess the first batch is already sold out.
Hmmm I don't see that...although I don't see anything that explains when it will be shipped. I am assuming because it's not saying anything then it must be the 1st batch.

Not likely, since I see the same when I check my order... that means that the first batch is already sold out (before it even got produced ), and they have to wait for the next production circle...
