[Theorycrafting] What Alien species would you like to be added to E : D ?

As per the title, lets assume that FD got permission from all the game companies related to Sci fi in one way or another to exploit one or several of the alien species they created.

Which one would you like to be introduced in the game ?

I for one would absolutely LOVE to stumble into Kerbin and say hello to all the friendly Kerbinites. ( don't touch my ship ! )

Another one would be Turians, from the Mass Effect series. 'cause Turians are sooooooooo coooooooooool ! ( plus they are very good weapon engineers, spending their free time calibrating and all )



PS : Kerbal bobble head, MAKE IT HAPPEN ! We know you want to FD. C'mon, I'm sure that SQUAD would not mind for a certain fee that I for sure would not mind paying.

Those that already were in 1984. Where lots of planets had strange inhabitants.
There were Insectoid races and "Slimy Frogs" and so much more. I would like to have them here owning planets and stations
and give pictures of whom to deal with.
I would like to have an increased diversity rather than only humans curising space and engaging the BGS.

First bit of advice I'm going to give you.

Preface your title with the tag, "Theorycraft".

I'm serious.

The only thing I ever see from "Theorycrafters" are number crunches that don't work when actual Practice. They always miss some kind of variable.

Now. As for what kind of aliens I'd like to see?

Give me something... Alien. I'm not talking biped humanoids. Plenty of alien races already do that. I want to see something absolutely bizarre yet sentient that when I make first contact I want to hesitate on going for my gun first just straight up wondering what the HELL I'm looking at.

I want to see something with ten legs, no eyes to speak of, and pulses neon colors while chirping something akin to "Good morning ole Chap! Pleasnet Weather we're having eh? How are things on the front lines?" As it walks past me in it's native tongue. And the only thing I can just do is stare in shock at it.

All those fancy cutters and corvettes will be worthless against SJ Sathanas, and the Mara and Dragon can both be a handful in combat :D

The bugs from Starship Troopers, to infest multitudes of otherwise atmosphere-less, uninhabited and otherwise less-than-interesting planets, so we have something else to shoot at besides Skimmers.

I'm hoping the Thargoids will have the depth of the aliens in Enders Game (more the book than the film).

It'd be cool to see Chaos warships from WH40K warping in, the design of the ships in that universe are awesome.

[woah] Blatant Star Trek reference: The Gods. The Roman Gods, the Greek Gods, the God(s) of Abraham, Mohammed and Christians. How interesting to discover that "Gods" were in fact advanced alien species that had in the past visited Terra and "played with" the inhabitants, creating all of our God-myths and religions . . . and giving us a reason to finally destroy them.

Actually this would make the most sense, as Elite Dangerous and Aliens franchise could totally be set in the same universe, as ED ship designs and atmosphere the game holds are very 80's inspired
