Depends if I'm in VR or not - if I am I usually play the mini-game. If 2D the escape vector is off the screen most of the time so no point even bothering.

Depends what mood I'm in to be honest. Most times I'll fight it just for the fun, others I'll just submit, see what the other ship is and the rank and then decide run or fight, normally fight.

Voted: No i don't use it. Just submit boost jump, although I often submit and fight, depending on who's the attacker and what ship I'm flying. But in general I don't bother with the minigame anymore, it's too difficult IMHO and I can rarely win. (Note this is only a subjective opinion).

Nope. It's not a fun mini-game, and the penalty for losing is much too high. Plus it wastes time. I can submit and escape very quickly, I've had a lot of practice. And if I plan to fight, I still want to submit and use the time to deploy hardpoints, set pips, and get myself prepared for battle.

I've always thought that the interdiction mechanic is one of the lamest I've ever encountered in a game. It's just...dumb. So no, I don't bother with it. I'm just glad that I don't have to :D

No, of course not it's a waste of time.
It drawed me back at least 50ls from my target already just by getting started, why waste more time by wrestle with that crapy pirate?
Submit and Boost all the way.

depend. if am in a mobile ship or a ship with out shild, i do, or when i do robigo run, some time it save time btw !

The "mini-game" is too random to play - so submit and fight-or-flight depending.

There was a time when it was _too_ easy to win and escape - almost 100% success rate. Then it flipped and became seemingly impossible to escape. Now there seems to be a miniscule change of escaping, but this seems to have no bearing on how well you "follow-the-blue".

So it is not a worthwhile game in its current form.

If I'm in my T9, I'll submit then run. If I'm in my Vulture, I'll submit then kill.

The only time I'll play the minigame is if I'm in an agile ship with limited firepower/shielding.

Depends on what ship myself and the NPC are flying. I do fight interdiction and often win when flying my Cobra.

Against some less agile ships, I have even won in my Keelback.

I don't get interdicted, I interdict.

I wouldn't call it a minigame. It's a part of the game as much as hyperjumping. Maybe some people don't recognize the three-dimensionality of supercruise. During interdiction one has to watch the sensor and the position of both engaging ships in space and also adjust throttle like the situation demands. So if a ship is facing you head to head during interdiction your best bet is to throttle down and make a full thruster aided u-turn to follow up. It's not a minigame in my eyes its a fully integrated functionality of my ship.

I didnt vote because it depends on the ship I'm in. My Asp doesnt have any weapons, so I just submit and boost away. But if I get interdicted by the same pirate I use the mini-game to try to avoid a second stop (50% thrust and using the A and D keys to track the target better). If I'm in the Corvette, huh, who needs a mini-game when you have a Corvette?

Depends what I'm flying.

Even when in the ICourier I don't always submit and boost. If I'm being chain interdicted I try to be a little more creative in throwing them off.

Yesterday, I tried to fight one for the fun of it ... and lost - have the ships always spun so fast for what seems like a full 30 seconds ? Just seems comically fast and much faster than I remember.

Yes it is mich faster and more out of control. If i do the interdictiin and spin like crazy, it needs most times 2-3 boosts to get stable again. Sone people have been killed before they got control back after a lost interdiction^^

It's more dangerous since 2.1 for the kne who interdicts (except NPC's) and the one who lost the interdiction^^

None of the options suits me I'm afraid.

I still use it but only when I'm in the right ship. And that's my Asp. If I'm in my Anaconda (currently fit for trade or mining) I submit. No point trying to win it, too much work. If I'm in my combat ships I submit and disabuse the NPC.

It should be better in 2.2 with the bugs gone.

I have never had any success winning the mini-game thing so I don't even try anymore. I must be doing something wrong.

I either submit boost jump, or submit fight win or run depending on my ship and the attacker.

Where is the Option from time to time?
Sometimes you are faster playing it however it costs a lot of Joystick life time therefore it has to be evaluated carefully each time.

1. It's a daft, mindless mini-game that doesn't really fit in with the rest of the game and game play.
2. It's almost completely random as far as I can tell. The "bars" at the side seem to go up and down with no regard to how centred the "target" is.
3. On the few times I have been interdicted by human players rather than NPCs, they have won the interdiction immediately - I mean within a second or two - giving me no time to even start playing a "mini-game".
