what do you think of 2.2?

Why not have more than one? There is room for 3. Kind of like an RP thing. And 10% is a lot. My reward from a CG can be 20 million. So now I have to give 2 million to the crew member? Thats too much. There needs to be a cap on how much a crew member can earn per week or something like that.
I wouldn't mind giving him 10% from kills where he actively assists. But if he is just sitting safely in my ship and resting.... Doesnt deserve anything.
Why cant we buy imperial slave crewmembers?

I also wouldnt mind seeing crew members fill the empty seats in my Cutter and Corvette
Because you can only have one active at a time, it makes little to no sense to have more than one. As mentioned by Sandro in the live stream, they are 'luxury' items (people). For us rich folks to play around with. But I put my harmless one in turret boat that is tooled up a little, and DAMN, she is wrecking elite pythons with easy while I dance around it sounding giddy and laughing my     of from having a harmless ship wreck an elite one.

I'm growing more and more frustrated as time goes on. Can't download it on the Frontier launcher for my main account. My steam account where in don't have horizons I'm running into bugs that have all but stopped any progress I could be making in the current CG. On top of that is the situation with the mission system atm. I'm just very frustrated atm

You've tried all this on your main account launcher have you?? https://support.frontier.co.uk/kb/

I'm finding, 2.2 at least, pretty stable. Running smooth even though I'm way under spec, a couple of hangs but I'm used to those and the planet optimisations working really well. Content wise I'm liking the update very much.

These are the Problems in 2.2 IMO

1. Hired Crew - Needed for SLF, but their prices are ridiculous. Having 2 crew members will cost me 25% of my profit. Thats a huge amount of credits for the typical Conda / Corvette/ Cutter CMDR. And without hired crew we cant use SLFs. Damned if you do, damned if you don't.

You can have an elite crewmember that only needs 2%. They lvl pretty fast too, got one up by two lvls in about 2-3 hours.

What are your specs? I'd like to play 2.2 and am in a similar situation. Actually, I have way unbalanced specs, a dualcore P4 and a 1060...

[???] Ridiculous. Millions of credits to move a ship a relatively short distance, all costs, fines and penalties remain high and yet mission rewards have been chopped by 80-90%. What are we supposed to do, go explore? [wacko]

Passenger missions!..almost like FD are pushing you to play their way!

There doesn't seem to be much whining about 2.2 - people seem happy with the AI, the message board refresh etc..I'm having some issues with both & every hyperspace sequence of jumps has the next target system obscured by the star..every one! At first I just thought it was RNG at work, but nope - not a game breaker, but it is beginning to get on my t1ts.

I've tried everything the launcher itself allows me to do. Which isn't much sine nearly all of it doesn't actually work for me. The option button doesn't open, can't check my account, all it's letting me do is click upgrade. And then it sits idle forever not actually starting the download

I had this problem a couple of weeks ago after a reinstall of Windows 10. The solution for me was to go to 'Control Panel/Programs and features/Turn Windows features on or off' and enable .NET Framework 3.5
For the failing installation you could also try right clicking the launcher icon and selecting 'run as administrator' just in case your permissions have been lost and there is no write access to the installation folder.

Not enough tea in thsi game anymore

Hmmm. I've spent the entire evening given Broo his brew - I've been doing nothing but hauling tea. :D

Really liking the update so far - love the station interiors and adverts. Liking the passenger missions. Loving some of the AI tweaks (AI use heatsinks - or at least pretend to, AI use ECM - that caught me by surprise watching a volley of missiles approach an AI ship, then just veer off all over the place, lighting in combat seems to be improved, my shield penetrating lasers make NPCs glow a nice purple. New noise on planet surfaces is great. Also like the fact that mission rewards have been lowered (yeah, I'm probably alone in that, and I know they're going back up a bit. :p). Finally, ripping modules off the Anaconda an putting them in storage is a great QoL feature. :)

(PS: Troy, The next star being behind your arrival star is also a feature, not a bug...)

Have you had a "Failed to read from response stream" error, some time before?
If you have, then looking for broken (.part and .progress) download files is usually effective.

(follow the link for 'failed to read response stream' FAQ's)
That page also tells you what information Frontier Support needs, to help you fix ..

Absolutely love it. Its the single best update we've had since the game launched in December 2014. Its also great as it lays excellent foundations for future updates.

5 minutes in, halfway between Sag A* and Colonia. WOW!. Filtering the rest of my journey by Neutron stars and Black Holes. Coining it!

Incredible!!! I never thought I would make it to stag a or colonia as I just don't have the mentual attitude or time to waste on jump jump jump for a month.. But I think in order to use the super highway I will need to upgrade my asp as much as possible with some engineer bits and bobs as I think atm the jump range is below 30

ok after a good session last night i have some more observations...

Wings seem to be fixed. An entire session with no disconnect from the wing or the game... this is huge imo, its been plaguing the game for ever and i cant remember the last time i had a session without getting booted numerous times when in a wing. I could not test in beta as i am the only one in my group with access.

the mission board - still a tiny bit annoying - is now way faster.. At a guess i am gonna say i can get in in about half the time as in 2.1. No failed to connect to mission board error last night either (I had one on Tuesday but prepared to let that go due to them being hammered as people download)

hyperspace transitions are possible a little bit longer. no biggie.

Loving it

Okay - so the 2.2 release arrived at the same time as my new home build was ready (i7-6700k, 32Gb RAM, GTX 1060 3Gb) but still... (At 2560x1280 - 60FPS)

It's beautiful. The next star info is perfect. Hyperspace is great, load times for Galaxy and System maps is practically non-existent, getting to see the Surface Maps after scanning a bunch of planets saves so much time for me.

I've finally got the FSD upgrade I wanted - Ratzi Ratzi is up to 28LY max - and a Dirty Drive Tuning... I've yet to test how fast that's going to make me.

So I'm off out in to the black to go look for stuff. I just hope that they fix the whole jumping into a White Dwarf cone thing quickly...

Oh - and another thing that cheered me up no end.

I had a dormant bounty... There was no way to find that before. I just went to the Factors, they gave me the info, and I cleared it up. I can now go to Riedquat without fear of being blown up for no apparent reason.
