Congratulations and well done to Xdeath for finding the ruins!

From the close-ups of the individual standing stones, it seems like there might be some writing on them, with the triangular glyphs looking like they might be doing some counting in base 3 perhaps?
.
I'm surprised at how huge the complex is, as seen from the screenshot from low orbit. As others have said, it seems potentially like a marker or map (though perhaps we have been trained to think that after the UP transmission). That would be quite the undertaking for the crew of a Generation ship with limited resources, or any struggling outpost of humanity. I do wonder if it is of non-human origin but is it saying where the makers came from, or where they were going, or is it warning of danger in a certain area? Furthermore, why encode information into a site like this at all? It's all very Easter Island...
.
Observations: there is no obvious sign of orbital bombardment or weapons' fire from the overview screenshots. It appears to have been abandoned without a fight. There are no ruins of surface refineries, industry, other infrastructure for a base, nor obvious buildings for the inhabitants. The existence of a perimeter wall on an uninhabited planet might suggest a concern related to surface attack (the site has a fortress-like appearance) but I'm not sure; it could also be to encourage an approach from a certain angle, to encounter certain structures first.

What are the wavescanner sounds and appearances for the ancient relics and other artifacts at the site? I'm wondering if there might be some information that can be obtained from them somehow... (in fact, I'm expecting it!).
