Alien archeology and other mysteries: Thread 9 - The Canonn

I would say it's to old to be human. Unless it's some kind of Atlantians that left earth thousands of years ago.

I'm pretty sure it's not generation ship humans, at least.

Was just joking, it´s too early to make a point.

But tell me: How can you be sure of it´s age? There is some pretty fancy technology here, the moon surely never had an atmosphere, so the folks that built it should be quite advanced. They have levitatiaon tech (part that floats on top of the pillar).

And it´s still working. So if it´s human it´s definitely not old, because if, it would have broken down already. :D

Just FYI, I'm working on getting a vid for proof, but.

I'm next to the ruins (xenohenge). I have an Ancient Urn and Ancient Totem in my hold (SRV).
When I scan one of the Active Ancient Obelisks, it scans me back

Oooh, interesting. Look forward to seeing the results :)

Ok, I redid the video, longer and better :)

I've got timestamps too :D

Scoopable objects and their store descriptions: 0:00
Pillar activation, quick examination and extraction of the relic: 3:40
Mindless amusement: 4:45
Obelisk display observation: 5:40
Obelisk scan and deactivation: 7:10
Scoopable objects spawn location example and recuperation: 7:40
Scoopable objects scan and destruction experiment: 8:55

The word "alien" doesn´t exclude unknown human lifeforms. Iirc the latin word alienus translates to "strange, exotic, unknown". So Zac could have been referring to that.

The site doesn´t look very non human to me - too much rows and columns. :)

Thanks for digging that out. It does give some pause for thought but on the other hand, sometimes the wording used by FD is carefully chosen. Sometimes perhaps not so much? It is conceivable that the phrase "alien archaeology" was written without perhaps the due care and attention it deserved. Or perhaps it's me who underestimates FD. Perhaps their wording is always very carefully chosen?

Don't get me wrong, I accept entirely alien ≠ non-human, and I don't think it'd be murdering normal language if FD were saying alien to mean alien to the inhabitants of the bubble. Which obviously just makes it even less clear whether this is "alien" or not... (I've no view either way)

All I was saying was that if this isn't alien (using whatever definition), & if FD are taken at their word, there is other stuff that is alien still to be found :).

Or even more basically, I'm just hoping there's more stuff to be found!

I don't know the age. I just assume that our scanners have some indication, as they are labeling the objects as ancient. Per definition, belonging to the very distant past.

So this could be ancient human ruins from one of the missing, and the aliens are a different track to be found elsewhere, i still think going deep space might yield perhaps even other undiscovered content. So if this isnt the aliens are they in the col 70 sector ??? the mind boggles

Could the ruins be related to the Soontill relics?

Or ancient artifacts ?

Highly prized by collectors, the movement of recovered artefacts is strictly controlled by a number of authorities around the galaxy. Fortunately a lucrative black market offers savvy explorers with means to find reliable buyers for any ancient treasures.

Or the trinkets of hidden fortune ?!

This container appears to hold an assorted collection of low-value trinkets, knick-knacks and statuettes. Such trinkets are generally used by superstitious pilots to try and win favour with the lady Fortuna. However, these particular knick-knacks have a much more valuable prize hidden within.

Yeah okay I might be getting ahead of myself...

These don't look like anything human related, nor related to the organic UAs/UPs and the barnacles

Something that intensely repeated makes me think this is non-organic in nature.

And is it just me imagining DBOBE looking as gleefully excited as he did in the pitch videos at all this? Hope it's fun from the other side!

How about this: A generation ship heads out, but on the way runs into some rather advanced non-human tech which they then appropriate. If they then parked up for a bit, we might find a very human looking site but filled with some very odd stuff...
The 'monumental landscape' thing is very human: it lasts a long time, can be easily seen from far away and if put together right doesn't rely on language. So what we've got here is a sign that says "we've found some cool stuff and we're going to xxx next"
I guess we'd need to be thinking 'Stonehenge version of the Voyager gold disk', in that case.

just as a note you can land on the relic pedestal things:D

and i do believe its either alien or more likely an outpost of a precursor civilisation
the obelisk's do say ancient civ. data so its most likely a precursor lvl 3 or 2 civilisation's outopst
