yeah these are gaurdian ruins...they are our mates...
nothing giger or bio like about any of the ruins........almost crop circle like shapes from birds eye ariel view.
these guys built our pyramids on earth and showed the way for us...then buggerd of for ages....popping back to leave crop circles in farmers wheat fields as a sign to say...were out there still.
im going to go and ask the builders from kotor...they will know.

Been watching this thread since this morning and congratulations to CMDR xdeath in tracking this down, some amazing work - will not get chance to visit the site until the weekend.
I just wonder how far into the discovery path we are, has jumping directly to this site, avoiding whatever path Fdev had planned means we may be missing some key clues that would help in making sense of this site.

You'll forgive me if after the UP fiascos I don't jump.
The idea of a Canonn research ship which turns up a day or so after a find like this and sits a couple of over it, potentially providing docking to allied CMDRs and launching security patrols would be frankly awesome.
Obviously it would require manual intervention by FD, but by heck, how cool would it be?

I mean if I was a space-facing race and a bit worried about other space faring races out there being potentially dangerous, I'd leave a few puzzles around the galaxy for people to solve. Then the puzzle-site can watch what they do, assess how clever they are and how violent, and then send a report to me, without me having to risk meeting them. I can see them scurry around like rats in a maze and see how long it takes them to resort to shooting stuff, or warring over the place.
I could leave a bunch of them around; especially within a few hundred LY of any promising looking apes who have figured out how to make fire.
Then when something actually registers as a threat, I can go and wipe it out, before it even gets near my own civilisation. I'd be able to start a war without them even knowing who or where their enemy was.
If I was really slack, I'd have some automated killer fleet that existed purely to answer the clarion calls of such puzzle sites.

Possibly ninja'd, but I have 30 more pages to read. Am I the only one who thinks that top structure looks like the UP spectrogram?
in my opinion the up has nothing to do with this ancient race's ruins
the up is made by an advanced race that exists now
the ruins are made by what is most likely a precursor of both the human the thargs and maybe a third alien race

I have a theory about the order of "activation sequence" from the monoliths...Once you scan them you get letters from the Greek alphabet like Alpha, Beta, Gamma, Delta and Epsilon. So judging by that and if we use the right order from the Greek alphabet we could probably get that thing to work...if it is what we think it is.
This is the Greek alphabet:
So now we need to locate in the area each monolith that represents each "letter" from the alphabet. Then after mapping the whole thing we can try to activate them in order. (probably those crystals and multiple SRV's are needed for this)
