That's what shows in the map, then went to check if each monolith had the same "pattern" but nope, got different letters.

So...why call them "patterns" if clearly there is no pattern to each one of them and not a particular order to them as well.

I think we are going bananas here...it is what it is, an ancient place with some monoliths with data for engineers and some relics to sell somewhere. No machine, no Sci-Fi goodness...sadly.
nonono too much going on for it to be just a suppository for data and engineering materials.

Ahh man.

Just seen the frontpage.

The ruins were found by triangulating FROM THE TRAILER????

Sorry to come across as a miserable sod but Jesus Christ. =(

Fer God's sake Frontier this is NOT how it should work.

well that depends if FD are trying to speed things up a bit.

Yep, this. Also, I don't think it worked as intended, and i also do think that there's value in figuring out how it was supposed to be solved

Are we sure that these ruins arent anything other than just some varied content to get scans and loot? The scans just go in your data tab (and the description just says that engineers can use them), some of them aren't even rare. The loot is all pretty low cost too. I mean, I don't doubt that there is a story to be worked out from it all, but I'm worried people might be thinking that they can do something at the site.

Think I have it...

It might be important to pay attention to this ESPECIALLY after the server update - In the hope that everything resets.

First thing to do is activate all 4 antennas. (Red line)

You will notice each antenna is at the focus of intense underground "Circuitry" Why it is important to activate that first?

This:

As you can see, the blue circuit is pressure activated. Which means we are gonna have to get commanders to sit on them. The theory being is that IF the underground circuit is complete activated (by raising all antennas), it should allow the underground current to run to the next point if we can get it to activate. (Sitting on electric blue ground patches)

Make sense?

Yes it makes sense, four blues - four commanders - a wing. IIRC someone mentioned earlier a wing symbol appearing on a structure.

I have an idea. This needs teamwork but unfortunately I didn't find anyone cooperative enough on site :p. As you can see below, when someone is close in srv to set of those structures, one triangle highlights on the top (and there are 9 triangles). So my idea is that maybe there is some pattern in what highlights, but visible only from above, so it is needed to check all those sets of structures (sometime contained in triangles but sometimes in rectangle, etc.) and see the pattern. What do you think?

And one more thing: some of this thingies are destroyed, so maybe that also means something.

i was heading to maia to continue my research but now that chaos has ensued the system i need to get my conda

after that i'm gonna sit near gas giants and stuff to see if there are any new uss-es

Or we can instead think that maybe FD aren't silly sausages and know full well that we will do this kind of thing with any promotional material. Knowing that they put something specific in which was supposed to be found that way. The alternative would be to put something in the trailer which *wasn't there* in game, which would clearly lead to a lot of players wasting time finding it. Some would likely be frustrated to find they had been following wild geese and all would ultimately be disappointed to some degree and become less motivated to follow puzzles in future.

There are other mysteries in game that aren't going to be solved from a trailer. This one probably was and likely was intended to be. That does not diminish the others.
