Having the same problems, did you find any solution?
'Tis rather pathetic in the 21st century, with all this tech available, to be downloading at 0.01MB/s.![]()
Boo. You are encouraging taxis as the default transport mode now. Ergo encouraging people to sit around waiting for their ships, until they're bored and complain about ED = waiting game.
You are setting up ED for bad reviews going forward. Not smart. And difficult to roll back, and will lead to increasing cries to make ship transfer instant. So you're painting yourselves into a corner where you're going to make more and more players unhappy.
Updating is kaput. After a while there is this little gem: "Failed to read from response stream. Network connection closed" followed by a dull pain between the eyes.
Downloading with alternative download option however is a different story:
After about 98% downloading there is this little gem: "Failed to read from response stream. Network connection closed" followed by a dull pain between the eyes.
Come to think of it... it is not all that different.
Anyone else having trouble downloading the patch? nothing wrong with my internet but it's downloading at .01 mb... any help?
If you're internet is slow - then so is mine, I got the stream error after an hour - so followed the
advice on here and deleted the .part and .progress files, now I am back to 0.01mb/s and 2hr to go, I've watched all the Walmart clips on Youtube, roadrage videos next then![]()
I wonder if it would be better/more realistic if, when scanned carrying a wanted passenger, you are given a timer for compulsory docking.
After docking the customer is arrested, you get no payment and a fine for carrying the passenger.
If you don't dock in the timer or if you leave the station vicinity then you get a bounty.

Missions are still giving extremely low payouts. Allied with the minor federation faction, 100% with the federation and being offered 8,000 credit missions to move 80 units of cargo for 3 jumps. Seriously no longer worth doing.

Michael said they are working on it. Also, STILL can't download the game. This is mental, you put aside some time to play, then a patch comes, then you spend 2 hours trying to figure out how to download it, and then you lose the time you put aside to play, plus all the time you didn't put aside to play but got desperate and dipped in to :/
Also, I can't press spaces when I first start typing a response on this forum
Passenger missions are certainly paying well. I took on a few of them yesterday and came away with over 20 million credits in less than 2 hours game time. Once you get Allied with a faction the high dollar missions start to show up. Rank up with a faction that lives on one of those new "Tourist" economy stations and you will really see some lucrative passenger missions.
The key is using a high jump range ship like an Asp X or Anaconda and focusing on the wealthy "single" passenger A to or 3-4 stop sightseeing missions. If your ship can do 45 Ly+, you can cover the distances between tourist beacons with relative ease. I am finding these new passenger missions to be the highest paying missions I have seen in ED yet, and with the right ship, they can be completed faster than your typical cargo run.[up]
I'm in exactly the same position drakii - I even turned everything off & on again, deleted .part & .progress files & cleared internet history. Downloading at 0.00 MB/s. I'm going to leave an hour or so & see if it changes![]()
