But if the roles were reversed and the Empire was blockading Palin I would not participate at all.

I was talking about the Ant Hill Mob being criminals, but I do enjoy seeing these "...but the Fed is WAY WORSE!" arguments given with no qualification whatsoever.

They were gathering meta alloys and restricting others from getting it because they knew an application would be something to further their military might. And now that the engineer has cracked whatever it is they are holding him hostage in his own workshop.

Alliance, Empire, Independents, we need to work together to stop this. Because as the previous CGs have show the feds can't be beaten by the empire alone.

are you even paying attention to what the federation is doing? has done in the past? how it's current president go into power? SHADY
even the fact that Hudson's power play tactics all revolve around combat, this shows the faction relies on force to barge in on what it wants.
Felicia seems ok.

Mine has a 17 LY range thanks to Felicity. Checked earlier and to jump out to Maia from Jeirretes where I'm based (415 LY away) is 30 jumps. Yeah, maybe at the weekend :D

(Especially since jumps are giving me about an extra 10 seconds of witchspace loading screen most times since 2.2. I'm hoping that's just server traffic following the update and it's going to die down.)

When I get there though, I will be attempting to stop the forces of Space Trump from continuing with their nefarious plans.

2) When I do get round to upgrading I'm in the middle of an engineers tour.

I will eventually support all Empire CGs until I'm King with a Cutter, and then I'll support the Feds until I'm an Admiral with a Corvette. By then I hope the Alliance will have Ranks & Ships, and I'll support them.

...I don't think you've paid attention to who the Empire and Federation actually are. One of them is an admittedly flawed democracy, the other is a despotic autocracy built on slavery, murder, and fear. It's one thing to dislike what the Fed is doing, but there is no moral comparison between them and the Empire, period.

Independents. I used to be pro-Empire but that vanished when the Empire bypassed any succession laws. The real heir is unknown, but Hector Duval, Gutamayas CEO according to FFE and fourth in line wasn't even mentioned as a possible candidate.

Fought for Emperors Dawn as a result and proudly fought a losing battle.

I'm not that desperate for credits and prefer to not join the winning team.

Really, and how is that exactly? Given that basic rights are guaranteed by law in one and only by the whim of the aristocracy in the other, seems pretty different to me.

I consider myself a moral mercenary, I try to keep within the local laws whatever they might be. I don't deal in slaves or illegal drugs. I haven't engaged in smuggling. I am not above collecting bounties though, fun stuff. Other than that whoever has the fattest purse wins my support. I don't see any real difference in all the alliances, so this choice makes the best sense to me.

Now to the real reason I posted this. I am out at Jaques working on the CG that is about 1/2 way done. In that last few days prices for almost all the mined resources have dropped like a hookers panties at a political convention. The system is now in civil unrest. Is this all due to the crap out in Maia. It is 22,269.7 LY away. My god keep all that political crud in the main bubble and leave the burbs alone.

Are you familiar with the term "Wage Slave"?

You can afford an individual basic human rights and liberties and still keep them in [relative] servitude via high rates of inflation, easily accessible debt, and stagnant wages.

I have paid attention, that's why all I'm concerned with is getting Aisling on the imperial throne (because she wants to abolish that slavery and start a new era for the empire) and stop the federation from accruing more power and tightening their treacherous grip on Human inhabited space
