The Totem. An Alien figure? Not a humanoid figure, it specifically depicts "some kind" of alien figure?

I dropped one just to get a better look at it... if it is a figure it's a very stylised version... certainly nothing recognisable as a figure that I could see.

Bet you guys would love to know how I did this eh?

Hey guys, quick call for confirmation, i read a few pages earlier that people are having trouble with scooping UP's around AW.. Was anyone able to scoop a UP after yesterdays hotfix? I'm currently sitting on my favorite gathering spot and haven't even gotten any SS to spawn on me in the last 45mins here. For clarification the last time i scooped one here was yesterday before the hotfix, and i do currently carry a hold full of a collection of ancient findings from the site - which is likely totally unrelated. I'd just like to find out if it's a 'local' problem/maybe a tech. issue, or maybe related to the new spawn in degraded emissions - if someone else had no trouble at all (maybe you even had relics with you?).

I seem to remember someone stating that on the ancient relic.... as well as a sphere inside a hexagonal shape that there is also a series of triiangles (like seen on the obelisks) Has anyone tried to identify if any of the shapes on the ancient relic match any of the sequences recorded from the obelisks?

a crashed nav beacon not far from the site makes a strange noise. can t record atm so maybee its a good idea, its no longer the white noise of 2.1

I know descriptions are linked on the first page, just mulling things over...

Orb and Tablet.

The description for these two hints at a purpose for both.

The Orb specifically appears to be mechanical. The tablet seems like it might have some sort of writing.

The Relic. A crystal that seems like it might be an energy source of some form.

Casket and "something that some people believe to be an urn". Both are sealed, the description hints that there may be something to discover inside.

What about Odin's Trophy Room? Orb, Tablet and Casket all there.

It baffles me that we find this cool place in game with these mysterious artefacts and the first instinct for some players is just to go there and shoot other players.
Specifically helpless ones that can't fight back.
Not investigate the site for themselves, or anything, no, just kill everyone there.

i was shooted today when i went afk to dinner.
luckly i dismissed the ship before going away.

our only hopes is that feds or emps will come with some warships to patrol the zone hehe ... or maybe something worse... who knows

I am not sure this is even a burial site. The layout of the installation doesn't look like that to me. Also, these bigger structures, especially those around the round "building" sites, look like some kind of clamp. Like something is supposed to snap in place there. Perhaps a removable structure? something that can land there and then connects to the rest of the structure. The obelisks inside the round places might also fit into whatever lands there.
Also the floortiles between the other obelisks doesn't look like roads but more like electrical contact points or something.

EDIT: the Feds or Emps will just send a capital ship to claim the site like they did with alien wreck location. Also: players shooting players without any warning is crap. Just makes the game less fun.

Archeological research is fine. Grave robbing is not. Sacra Oculus deeply disapproves the removal of caskets or urns. An Edict is in place and independent Commanders have our Blessings to destroy all who pillage the abandoned base. I reiterate, archeological research is fine, grave robbing is not.

See you in solo, cmdr. :)

Perhaps if you had copied the entire text you would see my point!

casket
ˈkɑːskɪt/
noun
noun: casket; plural noun: caskets

a small ornamental box or chest for holding jewels, letters, or other valued objects.
"a small brass casket containing four black opals"
synonyms: box, chest, case, container, receptacle, coffer, trunk, crate; rarepyxis
"a small casket containing four black opals"
British
a small wooden box for cremated ashes.
North American
a coffin.
synonyms: coffin, box; More

But the point (other than the one on your head, with a capital letter d printed in it), us that the word casket dies not *necessarily* mean a cremation or burial receptacle. There are other meanings. Get a grip, "D"...

In the end "Urn" or "Casket" is just the description Your ship's system identify the object as. We don't have any clue what these objects have actually been used for.
