Following my theory of two civilisations a pre cursor and a second advance this is evidenced by:
For descriptive purposes the long wall jutting down from the huge circle is South.
IF we start North there is a pre cursor pyramid then going clockwise we find two advanced triangles. Followed by a pre cursor pyramid followed by a triangle. Then just next to the long (south) line at about 178 degrees is another pre cursor pyramid.
3 Triangles 3 Pyramids. Then South West is another triangle which i think is a replication in some from a pyramid which was directly west of the circle - where the land juts out like a wing - on the end appears to be the original pyramid.
4 Pyramids 4 Triangles. The advanced civilisation seems to be saying "we found this here, and look we have copied it but corrected it to what it should be now or using there maths and astronomy this is where you should go now."
The use of ancient Greek when scanning and using the first five letters of the alphabet seems to be saying "Humans were here".

The ancient Greek connection seems to be well established with the Pleiade's Merope & Asterope sites for the Thargoid stites. Now with the Alpha-Epsilon data, could be #ZeusConfirmed!
No idea how the Syneufe or COL sectors fit in though... Maybe we should be paying more to the Greek constellation naming schemes?

I gotta say... Wondering if the game is bugged whenever something changes is killing me.
I was just watching a tower with an ancient relic in it emerge from the ground and it occurred to me that the other ancient items might also be emerging from the ground. We have assumed that the green ooze surrounding the items has come from the items - what if the items are being pushed out from the green ooze (or whatever lies beneath)? I think the boulders that we see around the items are displaced earth resulting from the items coming out of the ground. This is certainly what I saw happen with the tower when it came out of the ground.
I'll not quote myself again. But the small circle is definitely the top part of the bigger one - too many similarities. They are visibly complementary. But "why" is that, is still eluding me.

The items (orb, urn etc...) seem to spawn with the instance, and can be seen from a considerable distance away before even landing. The rocks around them seem to be there to prevent the items from rolling away.
Jarviz, please read carefully before posting, risking to spread misinformation.
The reddit link you've posted is related to another mystery.
What I'm suggesting is that they look like they do because they were pushed out of the ground (even if they are now static and we might not ever see this happen). I have however seen a tower with a relic rise out of the ground in stages and boulders be left at the bottom when this happened. What I'm getting at is that from a game play point of view, these things may be emerging from the ground and that they weren't just left there from ancient times. It would suggest that there is something under the ground that's pushing them out (even it is static from an implementation point of view).
Left/right distribution is also similar (one side is not significantly more active than the other):

A little PSA about the "Ancient" items, not sure if known, but I hadn't seen anything similar. I did a little space testing with them and free-floating UA and UP. No interaction between any of the "Ancient" or "Unknown" items observed, nor any noticeable orientation to the "Ancient" ones. However, I did want to point out that they decay in space just like the "Unknown" types. Not sure if this is common to all canisters, or just special stuff, but thought it worth sharing (I lost an orb and a relic before I noticed their health loss wasn't just from being bumped into).

I'd also like to state that if you took 5 minutes to look at the comms beacon message and the location I was talking about neither matched at all. The only thing in common is the Unregistered Comms Beacons
Note to people who keep saying "this is a rosetta stone": look up on wikipedia or somewhere and see what the Rosetta stone actually is.

I was just looking for a USS in Asterope. Came across my first one, a DISTRESS CALL (Level 3) after about 15 minutes that was the exact angle as the incident site in the video, with the stars and nebula in the perfect locations. It was also between 590 and 600ls away from the system's sun. So excited, jumped in, was surrounded by Wreckage Components...but it turned out to just be an imperial clipper being attacked by pirates

I was joking around in response to The_Count_of_Monte_Fisto's comment, implying that it'd be like the Rosetta if we knew how to understand the satellite number stations in the first place
Another observation about the site is that one of the pyramids near the main circular structure (the ship landing/restraining pad?) seems to have lines emanating from it that look like buried cables. Is it possible that something was tethered at this base and that it broke free?
