Chuck that in Excel if you fancy solving the nonograme yourself.
I was taking a look at the "channels" that are next to the long lines of Obelisks.
On investigating with the camera I could see that these are actually just the same as the Buttresses, but with only the top few inches showing.
I did notice that there are two distinct markings on the top of the Channel which are shown here.
Has anyone else seen either of these markings elsewhere at the site?

I to haven't noticed this effect, hence the call for an experiment. Given our limited tools in the game for actual science it is one of the few tests we could actually do.
That is likely a better way of checking. As far as I can tell this should be reflected in the fuel usage indicator.
Some people have reported an SRV fuel bug; it may be that is (occuring for/noticed by) some people here
On a quick look at you pic of the channels it looks like there is a metallic hatch at the end of each section, almost as though perhaps energy is supposed to flow through them? Could you take a closer look please?
Edit: in between keeping the new puppy occupied & trying to appease my affronted resident cat I haven't had time to play E D for the last 3 weeks & I don't know when that will change, so am having to "play" vicariously through this thread!

Wow guys, just wow !
I am pretty new here, and I was aware that there was some alien "stones" in ED, seen in a video from an ant, but I did not expect that at all.
This is the most interesting, entertaining, surprising, inspiring, stunning (insert word that finish with "ing") topic I ever read in a game forum. I spent two hours+ reading the first few pages and I am speechless. What you guys were able to discover from cryptic messages and hidden secrets is truly astonishing. I saw a couple of images of the mysterious probes and read that they were emitting audio noise. But going from that to discovering a system, a planet, and a whole giant alien ruin, not to mention the crashed ship, it is really incredible. Wow that must have been fun and frustrating at the same time searching around and scratching your heads for clues and coordonates.
I sincerely thank you all for the very impressive research and continuous questioning, as a big fan of science fiction, this thread just made my weekend. I was thinking all day about it, the sceenshots and videos are fantastic, the decryptions and the speculations super entertaining, and it seems that this is only the begining. Oh boy I could not be more happy about all this mysteries in an already awesome game. Fascinating.

I am pretty new here, and I was aware that there was some alien "stones" in ED, seen in a video from an ant, but I did not expect that at all.

Also, sum of "1"'s along columns doesn't variate - if I catch the things right (only asteroids affect them)
yes, you are right, but this means that the image emerging from the puzzle is doesn't means anything, and that the solution is on the sum of single rows and columns... Too expensive for having produced a nonogram...
I still think that at least asteroid belt representation should be clarified before proceeding...

No, i refer only to the part of the nanogram with dots - that doesn't necessary invalidates the rest
Yes, I'm referring to the picture emerging from the low left part of the nonogram.... the bigger higher section is clear enough (a part from asteroid belt)
Are we sure that the Jupiter mesage ending with 3 12 21 5 4 Charlie has to be translate in clue 4c? Why the 4 is "4" and the c is "Charlie" and not "3"???

The rest of it all just doesn't fit. Somewhere i read something about banished AI experiments, that got sent into that direction. Not sure though, if this was just fanfiction or confirmed.

Personally I think you want to be very careful doing things like this. It looks a pretty close match at first glance yes, but if you look then it doesn't actually match at all I'm afraid, not even remotely.
Not sure what's happening with the barnacles, first they stopped bearing fruit and now the ground is cracking underneath them....
What happens next...
