I seem to remember from some patch notes recently that once you've discovered a special location like this, it will then become a marker so that you can find it again easily the next time.

Dont think this is so as there is no 'marker' for the Archeological site ( is there ? well there was no marker yesterday ! ).

ninja'd !
ps congrat's Denneb.

Really? That would be great, but I’ve been to the ruins several times now and I don’t see a marker for them. I’ll have to fly back to the original alien crash site and see if I have a marker for that now…

Could be that I was wrong - just thought I had seen a dev post with something like that, but in any case if I'm completely wrong what about that screenshot above ^^ where there is a marker on the alien crash ship?

Have you guys raised bug reports on this? I saw a comment the other day with conflicting info and one comment that one of the devs said that the way the wave scanner behaves now is "as designed" and is supposed to be different from previous versions.

If it's designed to work as it is now, they've designed it to be utterly useless. It loses signals for a start, you can find say an outcrop on the scanner, drive towards it with the signal dead centre and watch it get smaller and stronger like it used to do as you approached the outcrop, to the point where it just disappears completely whilst still dead centre and with absolutely nothing in view. It's pretty much worthless.

got to the second site and this happened

this is way too suspicious....

Not at all commander, you must get to the point where the visual signal disappears... and then listen to the scanner, you can find the stuff nearby, true story, just happened to me

About Number Stations mystery.

We forgot about main clue. Who owner of those stations?

Federation? Aliance? Empire?
But why the first 3 stations, placed in fractions major systems translate the same message? They have some sort of secret aliance (Orientis Ordo Templi, Hashshashin, Tule, Iluminate, Masons, etc...)?

Or, it can be mjority fractions (Wheel, Sirius, CoR)?

I think, if we find, who placed those stations (i think we need analize they position in galmap), we can create almost valid hypothesis what system are present in nonogramm or at least make assumption that we must search.

The other question is what caused 2 alien ships to crash, if we find a third then it becomes a virtual certainty that we have some external cause for it.

This could be the Feds/Imps/Alliance fighting them in secret (hence the military build up in the Pleiades), or we could be looking at another race being involved

Naa it just means that those two were even worse piolts than i am :)

front page is quite unclear to me... After finding the Syneufe ruins what is our main focus now ?

Locate Second ruin location;
Locate syetem from nonogram;
Locate at least third location of crashed ship (and make relation between ship <-> UA based on static of ua spwan around ship);
Locate new installation of abandoned post in Hudaes;
hmmm. i think that it.

Does having found 'live' unknown artifact probey things at the new Hip site make the following Galnet
article regarding the Pleiades crash site incorrect ?

Freelance Report: Mysterious Wreck could be an Artefact of the Past

The discovery of what appears to be the remains of a non-human spacecraft has sent ripples of fear and curiosity through the galaxy.

"Many are speculating that this is evidence of recent Thargoid activity," said Professor Steven Eisler of the Okinura Xenobiology Institute, "but it's more likely that the wreckage dates from our first encounters with the Thargoids."

"What I find disturbing are the messages and clues that led to this xeno-archaeological find. Someone is deliberately preying on mankind's fear of the unknown, and they need to be held accountable for their actions."

I like this idea a lot..

The fluid, almost insect like design of the crashed ships doesn't seem to match up with the very straight edged structures seen at the ruins.. which is also very similar to the font used in the "Gaurdians" writing (on screen shots and the trailer)

Makes me think we have two races here, the insect like ships.. and whatever built the structures..

Time will tell

IM SO G EXCITED

Edit :: On closer look the crashed ships have a certain H.R.Giger to them
