No-honk UP's EMP

I recorded a non-honked Unknown Probe 'EMP' transmission on the second alien ship crash site. Absolutely no ADS scan 'honk' were done before the EMP; it happened several seconds after CMDR Kleitias dropped it from his SRV. CMDR Varigor and I who were close enough to the UP got that transmission without honk. We haven't been able to reproduce it for now, even after trying various way for a few hours.

Spectrograms experts would be of great help to get a good quality and clear spectrogram and try compare it to the usual with-honk one. What I could get so far:

Here's the video, I quickly hit the record key when I realised something was happening without any honk:

the UP has given off a different spectrograph than prior to 2.2 , there could be a clue in there to be teased out and perhaps a map to the next step of clues discovered

do you mean the above spectrograms are different, or do you have another recording that's different? The ones above look the same as ever, but with added thruster and ambient noise added.

How do you surmise this? I see a bit of info that is missing in the top part of those pictures by Aekzo. Other than that I don't see any difference to them. Please feel free to elaborate.

Edit: Dangit gaplant! Ninja's are everywhere! :)

It could be just me visually interpreting the old and new ones wrong, if am wrong, which would then indicate if they are the same reading it is perhaps a exploratory dead end anyway, if it is different that would pose a few more questions ( all speculation at this point on this element of the subject of the sonargraph)

I was going to come up with something brilliant that explained all the mysteries of the universe..

But then I read through 20+ pages of one day's worth of the threadnaught and my brain melted. Slow down guys.

Good job on finding the ship, working on beacons, and all that. Everyone is doing a lot of work. Now I'm just going to wander over to this crashed ship and have a look before I pass out from exhaustion.

interestingly booted from game while flying around the ruins with an error message of 'could not connect to matchmaking server' nerver seen that before. specially since i was in solo to avoid heavy role players

Well each of the Alien crash sites couldnt be any more different from each other. Planets size temp and inclination are both on the opposite side of the spectrum. One crashed in the canyon the other on the side of a mountain. One has UAs the other doesnt.

So in conclusion what ever is causing these things to crash or unearth themselves has nothing to do with the environment. We can expect to see them anywhere.

Also I am trying to find an unknown probe and have been looking for 6 hours over the last 2 days. I have visited several locations where I found them before. I have tried diving into any USSs and I still cannot find them. Is it just bad luck or are they no longer found around Ammonia worlds with Ammonia carbon based life?

Let me know I need to do some tests and I need one of those bad boys.

About healing beam laser and the relics at the ruins....

With the help of Kal I set out to test this several days back. Initially, for me, in a fresh instance they made the "strange" glow/light show that we have seen posted and did not damage the relics or the pillar. For Kal who was recording and watching it, it did not cause the glow/light show.

As far as the relic itself goes when it is not on the pillar it is damaged just like anything else by the beam. On the flip side partway through testing the pillars decided my healy beams would damage the relics and actually broke some of the relics without causing the glow/light show. The ruins in general seem pretty bugged ><

If you need a hand, let me know. I'm CMDR BDC. Just out surveying different moons.

And you're right on your observations. I'm looking for anything that's consistent, even if it seems like it's not noteworthy.

Hi Guys,

Why flying around in EEA and LP 804- an area near the center of the triangulation of the comms beacons (Sol, Eravat, Lave). I have all 6 of the antient relics in my cargo hold, well did...
While flying around I decided to check the system map. and turned my head quickly to look straight ahead. As I did I came across a mysterious red ring. I flew a round a bit, and tried again, Same thing, same place in the sky. Same stars highlighted. I then jumped to another system and tried again. Same effect! Here's what it looks like. Is this a known thing in the game? It only appears for the instance between pressing View System Map and the map appearing. btw I'm using the Vive if that matters.

I dont think we need to worry about the aliens at all , they clearly have issues with navigating and cant drive around Moons . So as long as Earth has a moon Humanity will be safe.

So long as they have insurance rebuys I'm sure they'll be ok.

Imagine if cmdr wreaks were persistent!
