AhAh!
I love you all guys... it seems we have disagreements here
My thoughts on the matter:
We do not know what this CG will bring to the story but, according on how much care FD put on the riddle to find it, it seems to me that it must be important.
So, positive or not, it needs to be done.
To let the story unfold.
I'm sure we'll have plenty of things to do in the future to counter it if it is bad.
Right now, what I think is: "the show must go on".
Probably been tried but has anyone scanned all the beacons in quick succession as if they were data points on a settlement?
As if completing the CG would break the game lol. You guys are taking this stuff too seriously. For starters it's a game, not real life. Second, FD is always in control of the outcomes, so they won't make things go to unconvenient places. Third, there are limitations to what can acually happen, like none of the important factions will disappear, etc. Conclusion: either outcome (completing the CG or not) will be fine. The storyline will not really change from what has probably already been planned. So stop taking this so seriously, like if it was real life. I get that many people enjoy the roleplay, but it's not worth it to start blowing this out of proportion and getting mad at people, there's no reason to. Like I said, it's a game and the outcomes are limited and controlled by the developers. In the end what really matters is what alternative is more fun and interesting, if anything. lol
The definition of hunt that I am referring to is "to seek out", not find and kill. Though that may end up happeningxdeath my good man if you want to "hunt" aliens, then feel free, but I certainly wouldn't condone that kind of behaviour. And my "What?" was simply in reply to you saying we don't have anything else to discuss at the moment. (not sure what quoting 1 rifter's opinion is supposed to support)
Anyhow, when all's said and done, this isn't the first time we've disagreed about what course of action to take, it certainly won't be the last, and that's one of the great things about Canonn.
See, look. Now we have got agenda pushing here.

OOC: I'm just going to be clear with you, that I was careful to avoid using any "out of game" references. Discord, forums and even reddit have been referred to in game(albeit by different names). I did this because this was a bit of a roleplay, and I hope you were too. I'm all for doing the CG to see where the story goes.
In Character: I've said this once before, and I'll say it again. There is nothing for the Canonn to gain by supplying terrorists with a potential BioWeapon. If you want to do it yourself, that is fine. But there is no good reason to associate the Canonns name with such acts.
See, look. Now we have got agenda pushing here.
I have already gave up:

Finally I've arrived at the latest alien crash site! Looks very spooky... To me it looks like the ships didn't end up there all at the same time. At least 1 ship is almost gone, others seem to very in deterioration. What could've happened? Was the alien ship first, where the Unknown Probes first and did the other ships honk their ADS near the UP's and crash? Or was there a huge fight?
There was a lot of scoopable cargo on the crash site, to me mostly food related: I've found beer, gold, algae, liquor, fish, fruit and vegetables, animal meat, food cartridges and of course UP's. Maybe the UP's are the viruses for the Aliens, and the Alien ship tried to prevent the other ships to spread out more UP's all over the galaxy.
A few images behind the spoiler block:

Guys, maybe it's a stupid question but....
What if it moves?? Yeah I know we still have no idea what the ruins are and what they do (if they do anything) but for me it is some kind of a machine. On one picture here (spoiler no. 2) we can see (yeah I know, it a bit cheating with debug camera going under the terrain, but we can clearly see that what is above ground is just a tip of an ice berg) that it is a massive structure.
Sheesh, I'm gone for one day and the thread jumps over 30 pages! I just read about the probe in the Canonn home system that mysteriously helped us decode the remaining nonogram to point at that Sun Tu system. What else has happened and what's new?
Year ago they wanted explosives. Now virus. I would not be surprised if next year they demand plutonium or uranium.
